About this deal

The camera actually fares pretty well, assuming lighting is on your side. Even on a slightly overcast morning, I was able to get a nice image of the local church with ample detail: budget phone cameras have come a long way in four years, even if the chipsets are being reused. CPU is the Central Processing Unit or the processor of a mobile device. Its main function is to interpret and execute instructions contained in software applications. The network capacity and data transfer speed may be reduced while dual SIM cards are used at the same time. Network: The bandwidths supported by the device may vary depending on the region or service provider. Typical value tested under third-party laboratory condition. Typical value is the estimated average value considering the deviation in battery capacity among the battery samples tested under IEC 61960 standard. Rated (minimum) capacity is 4,900mAh. Actual battery life may vary depending on network environment, usage patterns and other factors.

The Galaxy A02s uses a 6.5-inch, 1600 x 720 PLS LCD screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a pixel density of 270ppi. The Galaxy A02s, A12 and A32 5G come equipped with powerful cameras that make taking that perfect shot easier than ever. The Galaxy A12’s and A32 5G’s 48MP and A02s’ 13MP main camera ensures you always capture life’s moments in stunning quality. The Galaxy A32 5G also boasts an 8MP Ultra-Wide camera to shoot spectacular landscape images, with the A12 sporting a 5MP Ultra-Wide camera. All three devices come with a 2MP Depth camera, that enables you to focus in on what matters most, with the A32 5G boasting a 5MP Macro camera, and the A02s and A12 built with a 2MP Macro camera to reveal close-up and intricate beauty in your photos. The Galaxy A02s is a sluggish phone, but that doesn’t relay the whole story; there are high points, too.As an add-on, you can use an auxiliary 2-megapixel camera for macro shooting, but the quality is quite low: It isn’t an adequate substitute, to the extent that you’ll have to revert to the basic PIN or pattern method most of the time instead. Even just navigation gestures aren't fully useable on the phone. Dropped frames abound, launching apps means legitimately waiting at times. Everything works, just very slowly. In middling and dim light, the results are uglier still, with extreme noise in dark areas and overexposed highlights, even with HDR switched on. Unfortunately, there’s no Night Mode option to improve matters. For instance, when running Google Chrome and Spotify at the same time, the screen momentarily freezes whenever I switch between the two apps, as though it needs a second to regain its bearings before it lets you use either of them. These aren’t long delays, but after a while they can become annoying.

Mediocre in good lighting, outright terrible in anything else. Misleading animations indicate it's done capturing before it actually is. Strong "at least it has a camera" energy.Information about the width, i.e. the horizontal side of the device when it is used in its standard orientation. Even then, however, it’s shown up by the Samsung Galaxy A12, which managed three-and-a-half hours more on the same test. Samsung Galaxy A02s review: Camera The Samsung Galaxy A02 comes with One UI Core 2.5 over Android 10, and upgradable to One UI Core 3.1 over Android 11. [8] See also [ edit ] Another area where Samsung tends to flourish is on screen quality, and this is another decent budget effort. The 6.5in IPS display has a resolution of 1,600 x 720, which means you’re getting around 270 pixels per inch. That’s low as far as big-screen phones go, but still what you’d expect from your average laptop, so nothing to get too worked up about.

is the bare functional minimum, I'd prefer to see 64GB in the US model as Samsung gave that to other markets.

They diverge again when it comes to photography, however. While the A12 had a four-camera array led by a 48MP sensor, the A02s simplifies things considerably. It has three cameras, with the 13MP f/2.2 main camera supported by two 2MP f/2.4 lenses – one for depth and another for close-up macro photography. Samsung Galaxy A02s review: Price and competition System on Chip (SoC) A system on a chip (SoC) includes into a single chip some of the main hardware components of the mobile device. SoC S Pen Pro and S Pen Fold Edition sold separately. Only use the Samsung S Pen Pro or the S Pen Fold Edition designed exclusively for Galaxy Z Fold3 5G. All other S Pens or stylus pens not designed for Galaxy Z Fold3 5G (including those by other manufacturers) may damage the screen. Unfortunately, anything the A02s can do, the Moto G10 can do better. And so it proves with photography. Here, the same shots taken at the same time are zoomed in, and you can see that while both are good, the Moto G10 is just that bit more detailed. My review unit is the 3GB model, and it’s possible that the 4GB version is capable of delivering a better user experience.
