First, let me cover how both generations of these wireless dongles work with your wired CarPlay system: These dongles are for existing wired CarPlay enabled vehicles or wired CarPlay enabled aftermarket receivers. If your car doesn’t already have CarPlay, this dongle won’t work in your vehicle. You have to already have wired Apple CarPlay along with a USB port that you previously used an Apple Lightning cable with. So if you have the first-generation of dongle, is this second-generation worth upgrading to? Thinking long and hard about it, I don’t think it is. Because software is shared between generations, there will not be any differences in compatibility other than with its hardware. If you think a detachable USB cable or 5.8GHz speeds will help improve the location of your dongle or the connection or the stability in your vehicle, then it might be worth the upgrade. Otherwise, I would wait for more drastic changes or feature improvements. Step 1: Start by preparing your felt. Apply some fabric stiffener to your sheet of white felt. While it's drying, draw four or five different mistletoe shapes on to some card and cut them out. These don't need to be perfect, simply draw them freehand. You can look online for inspiration for what type of shape to draw. Or if you prefer you could print off an image of a mistletoe and use it as a template. Garlands can be attached using the string provided to any permanent fixture available. If you are looking to attach to a wall or flat surface, we recommend 3M command hooks. Garlands shown in our images are just some of many shapes that can be created. These garlands were created with approx 2m worth of balloons. That was as expected but what I really wanted to see is how it worked with multiple phones previously paired, and to my surprise, it works perfectly. It starts off and gives a list of previous phones and you can choose from those. It then tries to connect and if the Bluetooth and wifi of that phone is active, it will start it off. As stated in the video, you will need an electric inflator to fill your giant balloons and make your life easier in general! The Performance is Fine, it is just as responsive as using Native wired Carplay/Android Auto. And in fact, the connection is more stable and reliable than I have felt with factory Wireless Carplay in my X1. There is almost a 2-3 second lag between the audio sync as compared to the Wired connection. But I feel it's barely any worse than the factory Wireless solutions.
