About this deal

Assembling the bottle is easy because there are only two parts: the bottle and the lid (which is connected to the filter). Simply press the filter into the bottle and screw the lid in place. Removes all waterborne pathogensincluding virus (e.g. Rotavirus, SARS, Hepatitis A, Norovirus), bacteria (e.g. E. coli, Cholera, Salmonella, Dysentery) and Protozoa (e.g. Giardia, Cryptosporidium, Amoebae). Ultra-powdered activated carbonfiltersparticulates (sediment, microplastics) and adsorbs many chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, VOCs, flavors and odors. Aside from filter changes, you should clean the UltraPress after every time you use it. Cleaning involves performing a “dry press”– pressing the purifier into the empty bottle and getting rid of any excess water. Leave the filter for up to 4 days to dry thoroughly, which will prevent a buildup of odors and mildew while the filter is in storage.

You can’t really ‘extend’ the lifespan of your Grayl filters but you can make sure they reach the150L mark before they need to be replaced. These top tips will help you get the most out of your filters and apply for any water bottle with a filter, not just Grayl bottles! For context, I had the cap on, and I opened it half a turn to vent air. I was using the filter press on a surface about hip-high. It may have been faster if I had pressed down on the ground. So filter times may vary depending on your method. The filter lasts around 150 litres or 300 presses. However, if you’re purifying very dirty or silty water, the lifespan will be reduced. As you use the Grayl bottle, you’ll notice the press time (the time that the purification process takes) going up. When this reaches around 30 seconds, it’s time to replace the filter.Filters particulates (sediment, microplastics). Ultra-powdered activated carbon adsorbs many chemicals (including PFAS & VOCs), pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, flavors and odors. Testing Standards: Independently tested by a certified laboratory to meet or exceed NSF/ANSI protocols 42 and 53 for sediment, pathogen and chemical removal; meets the EPA Guide Standard and Protocol for testing microbiological water purifiers. Materials: Titanium, BPA-FREE polypropylene #5, food-grade silicone, TPE and ABS food-grade plastic. FlipCarry™handlerotates 90° for effortless separation (Inner Press from Outer ReFill) and easy carrying; provides a large pressing surface when flat.

Award winning OnePress® global filtration and purification is effective for use on all 7 continents and empowers adventurers to drink from the world’s sketchiest freshwater. Simply fill, press down, and drink. Unlike chemical or UV filtration, there’s no waiting around — purifying your water takes only a few seconds. They’ll clean water from almost any source — although the filters will last longer if you avoid stagnant or silty water as much as possible. You should always try to filter fast running, clear water to extend the life of your filters!Filters particulates (sediment, microplastics). Ultra-powdered activated carbon adsorbs many chemicals (including PFAS & VOCs), pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, flavors and odors. In testing both purifiers, I didn’t notice a huge difference in speed. I tried each filter multiple times, from a fairly clean source and then a less clean source. I also found that the smaller surface of the Ultrapress didn’t mean it was harder to filter — the flat surface of the top might even be easier to grip. The top of the Geopress feels more clunky to me. Filters: particulates (i.e. silt, microplastics, etc.); activated carbon effectively adsorbs chemicals, pesticides, heavy metals, flavors, and odors Grayl’s UltraPress is significantly smaller than the GeoPress. The 2.5cm difference in height might not sound like a lot but it’s instantly noticeable. Ultra-powdered activated carbon filters particulates (sediment, microplastics) and adsorbs many chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, VOCs, flavors and odors.

The FlipCarry™ handle found on the UltraPress adds a shit ton of tech to the cap. Why? The FlipCarry™ handled provides an enlarged pressing surface when flat; rotates 90° for effortless separation and easy carrying. May not sound like a big deal but it is.

Materials:Made from BPA-FREE polypropylene #5, food-grade silicone, TPE and ABS food-grade plastic. The electro-adsorptive media acts like a magnet to pull pathogens and other contaminants out of the water. The process of adsorption, not to be confused with absorption, involves these pathogens and contaminants becoming permanently bonded to the adsorptive media and removed from your water. Grayl purifiers rely on multiple layers of filtration technology! All of the water from the outer cup has passed through the filter and is now inside the inner core. Open that top cap and enjoy. By buying any Grayl product, you’re giving your money to a company that cares about our planet and its people. If you have access to a dishwasher, most of the Grayl UltraPress is dishwasher safe. The filter isn’t suitable for the dishwasher, so make sure you remove it first. They’re also members of The Conservation Alliance, All Hands and Hearts, charity: water and are supporters of many more groups and organisations.Another unique feature of the Titanium UltraPress is the fact that it’s drink mix ready. This is something I’ve personally never heard of in a water filtration system.
