About this deal

A subsequent screen provides an opportunity to type the word into a small window for review purposes. As there was no immediate response to this text entry, I was left with the impression that the programme was malfunctioning. However, at the end of a complete sequence of words, a screen presents the expected text entry alongside the user’s entries. As far as I can tell, the words are presented as simple elements of vocabulary, accompanied by the suggested association. I DID NOT experience the advertised “spaced retrieval, optimal colour-ways and testing patterns.” Curiously the elements of vocabulary appear in complete sentences only once in the programme, during the review sessions, the screens of which are no more inviting than the one that I described above. Software courses will run on a PC ( Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, and versions 7-11) and on Macs (all Mac OS X versions).

Our courses are built upon the science and principles of memory enhancement. These include methods of association, spaced retrieval, optimal colour-ways and testing patterns specifically designed to increase your speed of learning. It works! I have had difficulty reading and spelling all my life as I suffer from dyslexia, which means I find it hard to remember and retain knowledge. To my amazement it was working for me, the course builds up a word by word knowledge and sentences. I can certainly highly recommend this course to anyone I’m totally hooked. By the time you finish the course you will be able to read and understand the average newspaper article and speak French in a very wide range of situations you will meet abroad.

Level 2 takes about 12-14 hours and increases both the extent of vocabulary to about 700 words and increases the complexity of the grammar, particularly verbs. The sad fact is that those with dyslexia are usually written off in schools and work as incapable of learning languages. That is about 10% of the population! I recently approached 2 schools dedicated to teaching dyslexic children who don’t even have language learning as an option for the students! The fact is that this assumption is totally wrong. The problem is how they are taught!Newton Edward Daniels (1938 –2016), known professionally as Paul Daniels, was an English magician and television presenter. He achieved international fame through his television series The Paul Daniels Magic Show, which ran on the BBC from 1979 to 1994 (source: Wikipedia). A few videos of Paul Daniels’ stage performances, magic techniques, and tips on how to improve one’s memory, are hosted on YouTube. If you do need to remember a list, my own recommendation is the story mnemonic, unless you are already expert at one of the other techniques. The advantage of the story mnemonic is that it is very simple to master. The Linkword Spanish (European) Levels 1-4 course teaches a 1200 word vocabulary and cover all major grammar points in 60- 80 hours of learning. The average school pupil learns a vocabulary of 800-900 words in 4 years.
