About this deal

All of this and it’s small enough to fit in the palm of the hand, measuring less than 12cm in length. It’s quite chunky, with a head diameter of 2.8cm and tube diameter just slightly smaller at around 2.6cm. When one of the special modes is active, briefly press the power button to exit the special modes and turn off the light.

Since the battery has a USB-C charging input port, the flashlight can still be operated if a spare battery is available. I’ve taken a good look at the manufacturer information, and a lot of it appears to be a bit of a word salad, but here is the info, straight from the horse’s mouth:

The E4K also features a power indicator light which will flash to notify the user of the battery voltage when the battery is first installed in the torch. For example if the battery is 4.2 V the blue light will flash four times, pause and then flash twice more. The indicator will also show the battery power when pressed once while the torch is off by flashing three times for above 50% power, two times for below 50% power and flash once for below 10 % power. HOLD (~ 1sec) – Light will switch ON to last used mode (last mode memory) – any of the brightness levels (except STROBE, SOS & BEACON mode).

This could have been avoided if a “throwier” LED like the XP-L HI was used instead and would have made full use of the smooth reflector, but at a slightly lower maximum output. WaterproofnessOn a side note, it would be nice if Nitecore had went with a HIGH mode of ~900 to 1000 lumens instead of 1050 lumens to ensure a longer runtime and will run slightly cooler, as the difference in output is almost imperceptible to most human eyes. Tint & CRI

has a duration of over 3 hours as per Nitecore specifications. Another advantage, which is being lost in recent times, is the possibility of using different batteries to operate the E4K. On the body and on tail we find a rhombus knurling that facilitates the grip while on the head the big circular switch stands out. The writings present on the head and tail they are well made and easy to read. Direct access to ultra-low can also bee achieved by half pressing and holding the button with the light off, which is great for those times you need the smallest bit of light but don't want to cycle through the outputs or turn the torch on in a higher memorised setting. After replacing the battery, the Battery Capacity Indicator function will be activated (Switch LED will flash BLUE in the following sequence).

MUST BE OVER 18 YEARS OLD

The Nitecore E4K utilises 4 super powerful Cree XP-12 V6 LEDs, which give it it’s stunning brightness. Paired with the included fast charging USB-C rechargeable 5000mAh NL2150HPR battery, this light can run for up to 30 days on ultralow mode, ensuring you have enough light for any activity. Use the included USB-C charging cable to charge the battery.
