About this deal

Some outdoor metal paints already contain a primer and undercoat in their formulation, but it’s easy to prolong their lifespan with a good pre-paint treatment. Full hardness is achieved in one week, and it’s recommended to handle painted items with care during this time. Results might not be satisfactory if the product is applied in damp conditions or temperatures below 10°C. Covering up to 5m²/litre, the product comes in 250ml tins, although other sizes are also available. With a fast drying time, the product can be re-coated after four hours and is ideal to apply to metal doors and gates, railings, garden furniture, and more. The Parkside PFS 100 B2 is lightweight and ergonomically designed, making it comfortable to hold and maneuver during extended painting sessions. It also features an integrated handle for convenient carrying and storage. This paint sprayer also has a 1.8-meter long power cord, providing ample flexibility and reach. Traditional colours include white and blue. White is a beautiful choice in both urban and rural environments; it has a unique elegance and pairs with all other colours. Blue is ideal to use in a coastal area, inspiring freshness.

Apply the primer following the manufacturer’s instructions and cure the surface for at least 24 hours before applying the paint. When it comes to colour, the current most popular options are white and grey paint for an ultra modern and clean look, ideal for frequently changing rooms. A paints finish will affect the overall appearance, feel, and durability of your paint, so it’s important to understand the differences to achieve your desired aesthetic. Matt paint has a non-reflective finish, chalk paint has a matt, shabby-chic finish, while eggshell paint is low-sheen and durable. Additionally, satinwood paint has a subtle sheen and is great for interior woodwork, while gloss paint is high-shine and ideal for exterior woodwork and metal surfaces. Parkside Tools are the supplier to Lidl and have been since 1995. For anyone who has decided to dig below the surface, you will have discovered that Parkside do not actually manufacture tools, they are simply a brand name that is applied to tools from various other suppliers. As a result, there is no real Parkside manufacturing plant for the DIY power tools. So where do they come from? Stylish and equally classy is copper. Enhancing a luxurious yard or a romantic English garden, this hue mixes well with evergreen vegetation, looking at its best on wrought or cast iron and galvanised steel. One of the best-known suppliers that are quite popular at the moment are called Kompernass and while they do not manufacturer tools either, they do put some work into the design and appear to have a very high standard of quality that makes them one of the best providers of tools to Lidl. Parkside tools have an excellent reputation for great quality and performance, so if you want to understand more about them and the companies that manufacture them, I have put some time into researching some of the better brands that handle the supply and manufacturing of the tools in my guide of the best Parkside tool manufacturers. Kompernass

Einhill is not credited with supplying a lot of tools for Lidl’s Parkside brand but there is a very strong similarity between many tools in the Einhill range and the Parkside range. With both brands being german-based, it is more than likely a case that there is a cross over between the brands. Einhill is just like Parkside. They are not a manufacturer but a face for a company that sources tools from other companies. Tool Manufacturers Change Over Time

Manual

Outdoor metal objects and surfaces, including galvanised doors and aluminium railing and sides, have to be protected against rust and elements with a suitable outdoor metal paint. An array of latex and oil-based paints are suitable for the purpose, but oil-based products generally perform better against adverse weather and elements.

Unfortunately, they do not supply as many tools as they once did. Kompernass began to take over and now it seems to be Grizzly that is the leading manufacturer behind the Parkside brand. Einhill Kompernass are generally the most reliable provider for Parkside. They are one of the few companies that are quite proud to show off their contribution to the range which is a clear sign that they are confident in the quality of the tools they source. Grizzly Tools This is specific for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, insulating the surface from rain and humidity from outside and inside. Its three-in-one formula allows applying the paint onto rusty metal without using a primer or undercoat. In fact, this product acts as a primer, undercoat and topcoat on its own. This feature reduces redecoration time and costs. Preparing the surface is key to achieving satisfactory results. For a good paint grip, the surface has to be cleaned and degreased. Remove all stains, old flaking paint, grease, oil, and rust from the surface. This is important even when the product claims to do the job when painted onto rust. The only downside of this method is waste. A sprayer takes up a lot of paint, so make sure to account for this when choosing the quantity. Apart from this, the process is straightforward. Fill the reservoir with paint, put on protective equipment and spray paint the objects from 10-15cm of distance. If the product is compatible with a sprayer system, the best way to paint outdoor metal is with a sprayer. This power tool minimises work and will deliver a smooth and even result. Designed for the protection and decoration of outdoor metal surfaces and objects, the product is versatile and easy to apply. Thanks to its multipurpose formula, the paint can be applied onto rust without using a primer or undercoat. Compatible with a wide range of materials, including masonry, plaster, ceramic, and plastic, the product produces its best results on bare wood or ferrous metals.

Bare surfaces should be sealed with a metal primer or anti-corrosive sealer. The same treatment may be required on surfaces which are in poor condition. Consistency may or may not be satisfactory, depending on what you’re painting. High viscosity paint is great to work with on wrought iron or small surfaces because it doesn’t drip. Particular caution should be taken when using the product indoors. Volatile organic compounds in the paint can cause irritation or allergies when handled in poorly ventilated spaces. Limit indoor application, use a protective mask and keep windows open during the application process. Our favourite thing about this paint is the low content of volatile organic compounds. The product is safe to use in enclosed and poorly ventilated spaces and it cleans easily from brushes and rollers.

While the actual company behind Grizzly tools remains a bit of a mystery to me at the moment, the quality of the tools seems to be quite high. They have taken over from Kompernass it seems and has been able to retain the same level of quality for the tools that they source for Lidl. Scheppach There's so much choice out there when it comes to paint and it can be difficult finding the right colour and finish for your home. There's also a whole range of brands to choose from including Dulux paint, Farrow & Ball colours, Valspar and our own GoodHome range.
