The problems arise when it comes to the 0.6ohm MTL coil. The dual adjustable airflow dials just aren’t rigged to accommodate the restriction required. So the audience is also going to be restricted (like what I did there? lol). I actually discovered that even with airflow dials completely closed there was the possibility of a semi restrictive direct lung hit! It’s not even restricted to the point of becoming an airy MTL vape. When you start to detect a burned flavour or notice that your SMOK RPM 2 or RPM 2S no longer produces as much vapour as it once did, it’s time to replace the atomizer coil. When your pod is empty, remove it from the SMOK RPM 2 and flip it upside down. You’ll see the cylindrical atomizer coil on the bottom of the pod. Grasp the coil by its base and wiggle gently until it comes free. Push a replacement pod firmly into the hole before refilling and replacing the pod. How to Vape With the SMOK RPM 2 Not that this mesh coil is designed for that purpose, but there’s still only around a 50% restriction. Head scratching stuff for me, at least.. Yet it always adds to the overall aesthetics and ergonomics with pod kits so it’s one of those “ if it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it” moments, I guess. Some will be happy with the airflow, some would prefer a bit more restriction. But for an open Direct-Lung vape, it’s enjoyable especially with the 0.16 Mesh Coil. If you don’t own the SMOK RPM 2 already, the top question on your mind is probably this: What are the differences between the SMOK RPM 2 and RPM 2S? The answer to that question is quite simple; the only difference between the two devices is that the SMOK RPM 2 has an internal 2,000 mAh battery, while the SMOK RPM 2S uses a removable 18650 battery. The battery isn’t included, so if you don’t have an 18650 battery already, you’ll need to buy one separately. You can simply buy the device that suits your battery preference because, aside from that – and the fact that the RPM 2S is slightly larger to accommodate the removable battery – the two versions of the SMOK RPM 2 are the same. Form factor may not be the Smok RPM2’s greatest attribute but I wouldn’t say the RPM2 is ugly, it just looks functional. The extra little touches with the functions like the remaining charge time and estimated puffs left are very nice little features which help make this more of a complete pod mod.
