Touch buttons allow you to interact by customizing your items, bathing your character and petting your Tamagotchi character with a swipe of a finger! Includes a camera to take photos with your Tamagotchi character and at their party, cook, find new Tamagotchi friends outside, and have your character go on playdates. Regardless of the gender of the Tamagotchi, they always sleep in a blue quilt since child stage, as opposed to in previous color-screen Tamagotchi toys where the female characters would sleep in a pink one with hearts while a male one sleeps in a blue one with stars. The babies still sleep in an orange one with yellow dots. The bed is the same one from Tamagotchi On and since there is no twin feature, there is always a bear next to the Tamagotchi. Bingo: After the prize is shown, the Tamagotchi will be given a bingo card. The user must swipe to spin the bingo machine to get a number. The user wins if they can get a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. On initial setup of the date, time, and user's name and birthday, the Pix will also prompt the user to select a language, with English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese all built-in.

DJ Play: The Tamagotchi will be playing on a DJ turntable. Arrows will appear and the user must swipe in the correct direction to raise the excitement meter at the top of the screen. Although it is the first color-screen English Tamagotchi to not be directly based on any Japanese release that already exists, every character that appears in the baby, toddler and teen stage previously appeared on either the Tamagotchi m!x or the Tamagotchi On. It also plays similar to them aesthetically in some ways.If you haven’t been dissuaded, grab some rechargeable batteries (something Tamagotchi On owners probably already have) so you’ve got them at the ready when it dies, learn the spots where your buttons are most responsive so you aren’t fruitlessly pressing away, and you’re good to go. Exclusive to the Party version of the Pix is the option to hold or attend a party. When holding a party, the user can invite four Tamagotchis from the Tama List or have them randomly selected. When attending a party, the user can scan another user's party code to have their Tamagotchi join the party on another device. Once the guests arrive, the user can cook, take special party photos, and play two out of three available party games. Balloons: Pop the balloon by tapping on the button when the Tamagotchi is under it. Special balloons may show up that contain more gotchi points. This one may be a hard sell for newcomers with all of its quirks, but after years without a proper upgrade to the playing experience, I think the real Tamagotchi heads are going to have a lot of fun with Pix. Gift Game: The user must select an item, accessory, or furniture to give away as a gift. Gifted items are lost. The gift will be swapped with other presents and the user must swipe the buttons in time with the music until it stops. Once the music stops, the Tamagotchi will get a present.

Arcade Games: Six different games are available at the Arcade. Only two games will be available depending on the day of the month. Party Games (Party Exclusive): Three games are available to play under the "Party" icon once the user starts a party. Only two are available as the selection rotates daily. Hula Hoop: The buttons must be swiped left or right to spin the hoop at the right speed. Too fast will startle the Tamagotchi and too slow will make the hoop fall.

Connect to your friend’s device by reading their Tama Code to go on play dates, exchange gifts and explore together. You can even plan play dates for a later time! Say, “Cheese!” The new Tamagotchi Pix has a built-in camera so you can take pictures with your Tamagotchi! You can also customize, cook, and explore by using the camera to bring the world around you into your device for a more interactive play. Tamagotchi Pix is expanding with a Party theme that allows your Tamagotchi character to plan a party with themed cooking and games, and new characters!
