About this deal

A prequel-era heavy combat unit, the AAT-1 is a powerful weapons ready to wreak havoc on anyone foolish enough to stand in its way. AT-RT Attention, rebel ship, this is Commander Vult Skerris of the Imperial Navy. You are harboring a traitor to the Empire. Surrender immediately." ―Skerris hails the Ghost [5]

Juke in mass quantities can cause a lot of heartache for an opponent. Juke in combination with free Jams even more so. Thanks to the dial on the Whisper, Nightfall can 5-k through a group of enemy ships, potentially passing out lots of double jam goodness. If you can cause some collisions, next turn he can five straight through them again, clear his stress, and fire out of his rear arc. When he can’t fly through them, he can always just use the jam action, though he won’t be able to also evade to use his juke. The Microfighters range began in 2014 and has since become fairly popular, although it does not usually receive very much attention in relation to other Star Wars sets. However, 75196 A-wing vs. TIE Silencer Microfighters really stands out this year, due in particular to the inclusion of two highly desirable minifigures! The best way to survive enemy fire is to avoid it entirely. Stalk your prey from a distance and come in fast. Race through their blind spot—and gun them down at point-blank range before they ever fire a shot. Pilot the legendary Millennium Falcon. Her speed is only matched by her punch, overcharged weapons systems, and concussion missiles. BOBA FETT'S SLAVE I

It Doesn't Just Look Menacing…

This is Captain Vult Skerris of Defender Squadron One. Hope we're not too late to join in. Anything in particular we can do for you?" ―Skerris, to Commander Kimmund [4] The TIE silencer was named by the Lucasfilm Story Group's Pablo Hidalgo. Although Hidalgo initially considered the name "TIE vendetta", he eventually decided on the name "TIE silencer", but kept the old name's initials ("/vn") in the full technical name. The TIE/vn space superiority fighter was created and developed for Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, [9] the eighth film in the Star Wars saga, which was released on December 15, 2017. [10] The ship was officially revealed on The Star Wars Show on July 19, 2017. [11] The TIE silencer was named by the Lucasfilm Story Group's Pablo Hidalgo. [12] Star Wars: Galactic Atlas places the events of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens in 34 ABY. Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi takes place immediately after the end of The Force Awakens.

Let me just offer a bit of advice to filmmakers on future Star War s projects: NEVER PROMISE THAT YOUR HERO WILL CONFRONT A TIE FIGHTER AT THE TOP OF A TOWER AND THEN NOT INCLUDE IT IN THE FINAL FILM. Sheesh, seems like that just goes without saying. By flying his TIE silencer, Kylo follows the tradition of prototype starfighters being tested by ace pilots, as some Imperials such as Vader and Vult Skerris did during the Galatic Empire. He also follows own family tradition since he is an expert pilot who is the son of Han Solo, grandson of Anakin Skywalker and nephew of Luke Skywalker, all of whom are known for having the best piloting skills in the galaxy. With the intention of refining this model of ship for possible future mass production and use in frontline units, Kylo also makes post-flight reports that allow Sienar-Jaemus techs to improve the onboard systems. The iconic T-65B X-wing can do it all: engage interceptors, take down TIE fighters, interdict bombers, and assault capital ships. RZ-1 A-WING The ship also has a sensor-confusing technology that allows it to be undetected by enemies, making it appropriated for stealth operations, besides being capable of extended hyperspace transit. The wings are equipped with laser cannons, heavy cannons, and a heavy weapons turret which has heavy lasers and mag-pulses. After recovering, Skerris was placed as the commander of Defender Squadron One, and led the unit in engaging Grysk Hegemony forces while Thrawn and the Sith Lord Darth Vader completed their mission on the planet Batuu and later the planet Mokivj. The pilot was later selected to fly a new prototype fighter, the TIE/D Defender Elite, by Thrawn on the planet Lothal. However, Skerris did not get a chance to demonstrate its capabilities to the Grand Admiral when the ship was stolen by Wren and and her rebel cohort Ezra Bridger. Subsequently, Thrawn allowed the rebels to demonstrate its prowess and later authorized its destruction after he was satisfied with the results.

A Toy Design Actually Forced a Change to Star Wars: The Last Jedi by Whitbrook, James on io9.gizmodo.com ( February 16, 2018): "Initially, the plan was to have missiles on the underside, and shoot them off, and that was it. But halfway through production Rian got a toy, a prototype toy of the Kylo fighter. And they had the missiles on the side wings! So we went and redesigned a bit of it [in the movie] so that we could open it up and pop them out. I've heard of the toys' influence in the past, but that was the first time for me." While flying through Montross' atmosphere, Skerris inflicted damage on the TIE bomber and caused it to lose altitude. However, the Liberator returned and forced Skerris to break off his pursuit. When the bomber attached itself to the corvette and left the atmosphere, Skerris continued tailing the vessel until it escaped into hyperspace with the defectors. DARTH MAUL'S SCIMITAR Sensor Jammer is one of those cards whose value waxes and wanes with what you’re facing. When there’s a lot of Expertise around, Sensor Jammer loses potency. Other foes, like those overreliant on rerolls—Harpoon caddies or the Inquisitor, say—get into trouble fighting this card. It gets stronger still if your list has other cards that deny actions, strip tokens, or force expenditures. Perhaps you want more consistency from a four point card, and that’s fair. Still, if you’re going full Cadillac on your Silencer, Jammer is a useful defensive option. The Economy Option: Collision Detector + Primed Thrusters Brutally efficient in eliminating the Empire's enemies, [6] notorious, [18] and legendary within Imperial ranks, [6] Skerris was one of the Empire's most skilled pilots, [2] being known for that and his cunning, [18] in addition to being considered one of Skystrike Academy's best teachers. [6] Due to that status, Skerris was personally selected by Thrawn to fly the TIE Defender prototype and pursue Senator Mothma and her rebel allies through the Archeon Nebula. Flying his TIE, he was able to engage multiple enemy fighters without suffering damage to his ship thanks to its shielding. Despite his skills, however, Skerris' starfighter was disabled by Jon Vander, with Ezra Bridger's assistance, and it spun out of control. [5] Skerris had high intelligence and average diplomatic skill, strength, speed, and fighting ability. He was not Force-sensitive. [27] The TIE Defender made its first appearance in the immortal TIE Fighter home computer game from the mid-1990s, a dark time for Star Wars when no new movies loomed on the twin-sunned horizon and TV was still the domain of shows like Murder, She Wrote and Walker, Texas Ranger. Thankfully, the video games, comic books, and novels satiated fans’ Star Wars thirst until the Special Editions and prequels made everyone yearn for the days of video games, comic books, and novels all over again.

Kylo Ren, the apprentice of Supreme Leader Snoke, [2] was an expert pilot like his father Han Solo, [3] and grandfather Anakin Skywalker, [1] respectively, before him. [3] Due to his piloting skills, he field tested a unique starfighter known as the TIE silencer—following in the tradition of Imperial ace pilots, such as Vult Skerris and Darth Vader, who flew prototype fighters. [1] Developed by Sienar-Jaemus Fleet Systems, the corporation utilized Ren's detailed post-flight reports to improve the vessel's onboard system. [1] Ren utilized the silencer in his mission to destroy the Resistance. [3] Although Kylo Ren's TIE silencer was originally planned by the Industrial Light & Magic VFX team to feature missile pods on its underside and shoot them off, VFX supervisor Mike Mullholland revealed that during the film's early development, director Rian Johnson received an early prototype of the TIE silencer's toy version by Hasbro Inc., so the FFX team were forced to redesign the fighter. [10] The ship doesn’t stand out until you look at its Configuration. Enhanced Jamming Suite makes the Whisper play differently than other ships. Jam becomes a central element of play. There aren’t a lot of ships that can jam, but even among those, jam is often a red action. But for the Whisper, Jam is not only white, but it is white after being a linked action. No longer do you need to choose between getting a die mod or denying your opponent a die mod. Focus and link to jam for both. Or boost into range one so you can be in range to jam. Ironically, with the emphasis on jamming, it makes the Silencer and Whisper want to swap names. The Whisper jams, ie silences, its targets.Impressive though the A-wing Pilot is, I have no doubt that Kylo Ren will be the highlight of this set for many collectors. This version of the fallen Jedi is based upon his appearance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi so features a deep scar and sunken eyes which look suitably evil. The head is printed with two different expressions to reflect Kylo's emotional turmoil, one of which looks fairly calm while the other shows the character in a furious rage! Miscellaneous: Padmé Amidala • Jar Jar Binks • General Grievous • Owen Lars • Beru Whitesun Lars • Jabba the Hutt • Sidon Ithano • Unkar Plutt • DJ • Qi'ra • Hondo Ohnaka • Cikatro Vizago • Azmorigan • Ephraim and Mira Bridger • Chava • Gron • The Bendu • Greef Karga • Freya Fenris • Griff Halloran • Grogu • Kuiil • Omega • Riyo Chuchi • Merrin • Aphra • Dok-Ondar • Nash Durango A-wing vs. TIE Silencer Microfighters seems certain to prove extremely popular and I definitely think it is worthy of such excitement. Both minifigures look marvellous and seeing Kylo Ren in a set of this size is a delight, even though his cape is absent. Tallie Lintra is only available here so is also very appealing, especially given the consistently high standard of LEGO Rebel and Resistance pilot minifigures.
