About this deal

A software problem that can be fixed with a firmware refresh, which is not easy to do because you can’t turn the drone on in the first place So if you can somehow get the battery out of hibernation and charge it to 30% you should defiantly do a firmware refresh to prevent this problem in the future Insert the batteries into the charging hub, connect the charger to the charging hub, and the Status LEDs in an array blink successively. The battery can be fully charged in about 1 hours and 35 minutes. After the battery is fully charged, the corresponding LEDs will change to solid green. The battery can be disconnected from the charging hub when charging is complete.

Note: If you have more than one battery and you are using a charging hub to charge them you should understand not every battery will come out of hibernation at the same time some can take longer, so if some batteries are not responding give them some time. 2. Fully flat battery (flat lipo) Learn how to store your batteries properly. We wrote a full article covering the best way to store LiPo batteries. Try to carefully remove the top cover of the drone battery. Using the old credit card that you cut into strips should help you unclip the cover.

DJI Intelligent Flight Battery Fix:

DJI drones use Intelligent Flight Batteries which are basically just Lithium Polymer batteries but with the only difference being that this type of battery prioritizes safety and has a lot more technology to help with that. Using alligator clips, connect the cables as pictured directly to the cells’ side bypassing the smart circuit. After you hand it to DJI it can take up to 15 days till they send a replacement, and it can take longer if you don’t live in the United States We only sell official DJI parts - so you'll be safe in the knowledge that these batteries will not have any impact on your DJI warranty.

As soon as the voltage of your Phantom 3 battery rises to above 3.3 V per cell, you can move it to a Lithium Polymer balance charger. Here, you should be able to balance the battery charge at a 0.5 C rating. As soon as the balance charge completes balancing, the battery will be fully recovered. Turn the battery on and plug it in, The flat turned on the battery should be flashing red before connection. Dispose of the battery into specific recycling boxes only after a complete discharge. Do not place the battery into regular rubbish bins. Strictly follow your local disposal and recycling regulations of batteries. I found that there are two main reasons that might be causing this connection issue. Your drone might not be charging because of:The Intelligent Flight Battery with the highest power level will be charged first, and then the rest will be charged in sequence according to their power levels. The battery level LEDs of the battery and remote controller blink in sequence to display the current battery level during charging. After fully charged, the four Battery Level LEDs emit a solid light. After a nice long flight, I plugged my drone battery into the charger to recharge, aaand nothing. For some reason, it wouldn’t charge. So I did some research online and here are some fixes that worked for me.

Battery damage can be caused by age, physical damage, or poor battery maintenance and it might be time to buy another battery Similarly, the batteries have smart flight features which may prevent them from charging. The features include the hibernation mode found in intelligent battery systems. In that case, it may be necessary to maintain the battery regularly, including ensuring that its voltage does not drop below 3.7 V, to prevent the battery from entering hibernation mode. Connect a battery that is turned on. The flat turned on the battery should be flashing red before connection. Connect your drone to your laptop using the USB cable provided, and wait for the software till it detects your droneInsert the battery to the aircraft, connect the USB-C charger or PD fast charger to the USB-C port of the aircraft, and the Battery Level LEDs in an array blink successively. For this, you don’t have to do anything, unplug it and give it 30 minutes till it cools down then it will start charging normally. 7. Faulty charger

The P3 batteries are protected by a smart charge and discharge function built into the battery itself. The DJI Phantom 3 intelligent flight battery supports input of 12V 1.5 A / 9V 2A / 5V 3A. 6. Overheating When using the battery charging hub, the batteries will be charged in sequence according to their power levels, from high to low. Taking care of the battery is not difficult. But if you don’t do it correctly, it is unlikely that the battery will last very long. Firstly, avoid using the battery if it shows signs of damage. The swelling sign is a definite indicator of a problem since it shows that the battery is leaking. To fix the problem, connect the LiPo battery plug to the NiMH charger and charge the battery using about 0.1A current. Select a voltage matching the LiPo battery nominal voltage. It should take between 1-2 minutes for the battery to recover up to 3.3V in every cell. You can confirm this by reading your Phantom 3 battery’s total voltage and dividing it by the total number of cells.Your battery may not be charging due to outdated software, a damaged battery, or a faulty charger, with perhaps bent pins. there are possible issues both software and hardware and it can be hard to ascertain which is causing it but here are some things that might be causing it- Carefully detach the battery’s top cover – an old credit card cut up into strips will allow you to easily unclip the cover. If the battery keeps flashing red after red, that means the charger is not working and there you have it After flying - give the battery at least 10 minutes to cool down before charging. The heat can build up in LiPO batteries so ensure you let the temperature drop before starting to charge, which can increase temperatures. Fully charge the Intelligent Flight Battery before each use. It is recommended to use the charging devices provided by DJI, such as DJI Mini 3 Series Two-Way Charging Hub, DJI 30W USB-C Charger, or other USB Power Delivery chargers. Please follow the instructions provided below to properly charge the Intelligent Flight Battery and remote controller:
