You don’t need to spend crazy money on a bottle warmer to get nice features. This is a water bath warmer that comes with an anti-scald basket, a nice touch after many of the bottle warmers we tested were on the verge of burning our fingers when we removed the heated bottles.

Simply select the corresponding milliliters or ounces, or select the thaw or baby food choice, pour water into the reservoir, and insert the bottle, breast milk container, or baby food jar. Tap the button and it’s ready to go. Total runtime will vary depending on the size you selected but our tester was able to warm 3 ounces of milk in just under four minutes. While Philips suggests using its bottles, our lab tester felt that any bottle could fit in this warmer, as long as it didn’t have a flared base.

We believe their price is fair because of their compatibility and ease of use. You can start using this baby warmer immediately with your existing baby bottles without spending money on new ones. This is a very similar concept to the First Years baby bottle warmer. Like the First Years, it uses a little pot for warming up the bottle, rather than steam, making it much easier to clean and maintain. In our tests, the pot worked very well for warming up bottles of formula or breast milk, and we never had any issues with the milk being too cool or hot after warming. To use the system, you place the baby bottle into the pot and then add enough water to fill the reservoir up to the same level as the level of milk in the bottle. If the bottle is completely full, you can fill the reservoir up to about 1 cm below the top of the reservoir. It has different heat settings based on how much milk is in the bottle. The Philips AVENT Bottle Warmer works much like the Dr. Brown version above. It uses water to heat the bottle from the outside, which preserves the quality of the milk or formula. Overheating can cause nutrients to break down, so this slow heating is a good choice if you worry about that kind of thing. But Take Note: It can be difficult to initially assemble and may have a steeper learning curve than other options on the market. Put two spoonfuls of dry, uncooked non-instant rice and one spoonful of water in the reservoir and shake it. However, as we mentioned earlier, any bottle warmer with a reservoir system can be difficult to clean. In our testing, we found it to be super fast at warming bottles from the refrigerator or freezer. On the stove. Fill a pot with water at least the same height as the milk in your bottle. Warm the water on your stove top first, then place the bottle in the warmed water until the milk reaches near body temperature. Enter, wrist test. With the stove top method, you don’t want the water boiling. The tradeoff is that the Kiinde Kozii warmer takes longer to heat milk than the Dr. Brown one does. Anself 2 in 1 Portable Double Bottle Warmer Moms who want an even faster way of warming their baby’s milk because they can’t stand to hear their baby cry may want to consider the Philips Avent bottle warmer. It can heat 5 ounces of milk in about 3 minutes, which is a little faster than the Dr. Brown warmer can do it. Kiinde Kozii Bottle Warmer

Be prepared for a little trial and error to get the temperature right, based on our experience with this product in the lab. You choose various bottle sizes on the screen, but it’s only preset to even numbered quantities, so if you want to warm 3 ounces of milk or formula(which was our testing standard), you’ll have to subtract from the 4-ounce setting or add to the 2-ounce option. That meant that at first, our refrigerated formula got a little too hot (106 degrees) after four minutes, and on the second try, it was less than the ideal temperature after two and a half minutes. In practice, that just means you’d get it just right after three feedings. You do also need to watch out for that steam heat, which real-world users shared can burn you when removing the warm bottle from the device if you’re not careful. Warming function: We first asked our testers to warm a bottle with 3 ounces of pre-mixed powdered milk that had previously been refrigerated. (With ongoing formula shortages, we weren’t about to waste real baby formula or breast milk on non-existent babies!) Following the warmer’s instructions, they heated the milk and timed how long it took. When the machine indicated that the milk was ready, they swirled the bottle to even out the temperature. Then they tested its temperature first by pouring a few drops on their wrists, then by using a thermometer. They repeated the test using different settings available on the product, with bottles of different materials. Even the safe steriliser is set for speedy cleaning; easily sterilise bottle teats, bottle parts, soothers, teethers – plus a whole bottle!
