About this deal

The WiFi performance on the 7590 AX is mostly dictated by the 4 x 4 radio, with four channels on each frequency delivering a maximum throughput of 1733 + 800 Mbit/s, making this an AC2400 class design. All of those features plus world-beating performance might have been too much to ask, and so it proved, as the FRITZ!Box 7590 didn't blow away our performance tests. First of all, a reminder than the FRITZ!Box 7530 AX hasn’t had a UK launch, and there doesn’t seem to be any immediate plans to launch it. Which limits the appeal since most of my readers are in the UK. However, it is not a huge problem dealing with two-pin plugs. In our specific tests, we dropped out a Vodaphone cable router for the 7590 AX without any issues, including cabling the Internet, wired network and phone system.

I get rid of ADSL years ago when Virgin became available on my street, so I had to set this up using the existing Internet option where the LAN 1 port becomes your WAN port. The price is admittedly high, though once you factor in all the extra hardware, you might need to bring a cheap 2400AC class router up to the specification of the 7590 AX, then it isn’t excessive. Here's how the FRITZ!Box 7590 performed in our suit of benchmark tests. All tests performed in a three-floor terrace surrounded by generally busy Wi-Fi channels, on a 200+Mbps connection: For those that merely want a solid AC2400 router, there are cheaper options, but they don’t come with all the telephone functionality or the flexibility of the Fritz!Box 7590 AX.In our unboxing and first impressions you will be able to see all the features of this new router, you will also be able to see all the accessories and the incorporated documentation, as well as all the ports of this FRITZ! Box 7530 AX, one of the first home routers from AVM with the WiFi 6 standard, a new standard that will provide us with better WiFi coverage and speed. The AVM FRITZ!Box range has always been one of the best all-in-one solutions for your home networking. I like the features from the router interface enough that I still use my 7590 to handle DHCP even though I no longer need the modem or WiFi functionality.

The clearest difference between upgrading from Wi-Fi 5 to Wi-Fi 6 is coverage improvement. You can see from the results that it’s possible to get usable speeds on Wi-Fi 6 client devices much further away, such as 69Mbps in the garden. Wi-Fi 6 test The Fritz Box 7530 AX is a popular router that offers a wide range of features and functionalities, making it a top choice for home and small office users. In this blog post, we will answer the 10 most searched for questions about the Fritz!Box 7530 AX.It's great to have so many options and the FRITZ!Box 7590 offers more than you could ever truly need.

That all this technology is crammed into a box just 256mm wide, 200mm deep, and 60mm high is impressive. Its small enough that it can be placed on any flat surface or wall mounted as required. What are the main features of the Fritz Box 7530 AX? The Fritz!Box 7530 AX offers advanced features such as Gigabit Ethernet ports, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, parental controls, VPN support, and guest networks. It also comes with a built-in modem, making it an all-in-one solution for internet access.

If we want better WiFi, it is clear that we must choose the new 7530 AX model, however, if we want to have a very good WiFi, but high performance in the USB port, then the previous model is better.

The FRITZ!Box 7530 is more than just an internet router box. Connect a VoIP account to your Zen router to control your broadband and voice from a single interface. Up to six cordless telephones can be added to the DECT base station, reducing the clutter of multiple telephone base stations and wires around your house. The only real disappointment for this reviewer is that there isn’t a UK-specific version, only an international model. With the right cables, kindly provided by AVM for this review, it will work with UK phones, and the power supply can be easily converted. More regionally specific solutions are always preferable, obviously. As you might have guessed, this is therefore essentially the same as the FRITZ!Box 7530 but with significantly improved WiFi. Generally speaking, speeds recorded using a number of devices were very good, and coverage, especially on devices with Wi-Fi 6 radios, was also great, better than some other Wi-Fi 6 hardware I’ve tested. But make no mistake, this isn’t a whole-home mesh system without those repeaters.
