About this deal

The grim lens of the 41st Millennium pans away from Vigilus to elsewhere in the Nachmund Gauntlet – Moroch. This frontier world is hastily preparing a desperate defence in the face of onrushing Chaos forces, who want to eject the hated Imperials and claim the only safe passage through the Great Rift. The first time a friendly operative is incapacitated within of an enemy operative in each Turning Point. This box is a great way to get into Kill Team for anyone new to the game – grab it and the Core Book and you’re good to go. For more experienced skirmishers, Moroch is perfect for expanding your games with new miniatures, missions, terrain, and more.

This set comprises 299 plastic components and is supplied with 10x Citadel 32mm Round Bases, and 2x Citadel 25mm Round Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. Each effect can’t be performed more than once on each operative, the Corpseman can’t be in engagement range of enemy operatives, and the Corpseman must be within one inch of the operative they’re buffing.

Opening Times

This boxed set contains 22 miniatures making up two full kill teams – that’s 12 Blooded members of the traitor guard and 10 Phobos Space Marines. Ten of the Blooded are completely new, and they’re incredibly customisable. You can build them as a range of deadly specialists for your games of Kill Team or as basic Traitor Troopers. On top of that, you’ll find a single-pose Traitor Enforcer and Traitor Ogryn. The first time a friendly operative is incapacitated in each Turning Point while within 6 inches of an enemy operative.

As a final discouragement you can choose to attempt to blow him up when he is incapacitated, causing mortal wounds to nearby operatives. Keep in mind this also affects friendlies. Traitor Butcher Finally there’s the B- Tier. These factions need help badly and hopefully will get it in the next competitive dataslate. As you can see, similar to Veteran Guardsmen teams we have a long list of unique specialists to choose from, along with the ability to swap two generic TRAITOR TROOPERS for more powerful unique operatives in the same way Wyrmblade do for their CULT AGENTS. Unlike the Wyrmblade team, The Blooded have so many specialists to choose from they can compose their entire team of them, only taking the generic traitor troopers if they wish to have 14 operatives on the table instead of 12. For any additional details like belts, pouches, or accessories, choose appropriate colors from the Citadel range, such as Averland Sunset or other desired colors. Heading over to England, let’s take a look at the LWG Season 1 event, which had 36 players and was the country’s biggest event this year, taking place entirely on closed/Gallowdark terrain:To add depth and shading, it’s time for washes. Apply Agrax Earthshade over the armor and cloth of the Traitor Guard, focusing on the recessed areas. For the skin areas, use Carroburg Crimson. This event gives us two Imperial Navy, Gellerpox, Pathfinders, two Intercessors, one Wrymblade, and one Blooded team in our top 8. So again a solid mix, with 6 unique teams in the top 8, but some repeats of prior events that help us develop a picture of what the top teams may be. Once in each Strategy phase, when it is your turn to use a Strategic Ploy or pass, you can assign any or all of your Blooded tokens from your pool to friendly BLOODED operatives in the killzone. Each operative can have no more than one Blooded token. If there are any additional metallic areas, such as accessories or weapons, use Balthasar Gold for highlighting. Ushabti Bone can be used to highlight the cloth of both the Traitor Guard and Traitor Enforcer/Traitor Ogryn. Don’t forget to paint any eyes or small details with White Scar.

Now, let’s work on the bases. Apply Astrogranite Texture to the bases of the miniatures, either creating texture with a sculpting tool or leaving it smooth. The meta is still in a healthy place and with smaller events and fewer rounds the chances you can take whatever faction you want and use it to win events in your area increases. That said, if you want to qualify in the top 8 of a major, you’ll likely have to go the extra mile and prepare for each matchup – your skill and knowledge of the game and the opposing faction are going to be what powers you over opponents more often than the power of the faction you chose to play.

Meanwhile, the rules for the Blooded Kill Team reward aggressiveness — which is ironically not the case with all factions. Players will be able to field larger (compared to standard Imperial Guard) sets of units without making any concessions to durability. The faction also includes a new mechanic that rewards consistently killing the opposition with guaranteed hits and other goodies in later rounds. Once they get going, Blooded Kill Teams can be very hard to stop, making them more than a match for the Space Marines in this box. These big lads still have odd keywords – their only faction keywords are CHAOS and NURGLE – but they can now be included in a Death Guard or NURGLE TRAITORIS ASTARTES detachment without taking up a battlefield role slot and without turning off any of your army-wide abilities. There are two datasheets here, and both are Elites choices. Gellerpox Infected Rogue Traders are merchants of death and explorers of the unknown, each granted powers and responsibilities beyond measure by their heirloom Warrant of Trade. Gathering hard-bitten companies of crew, mercenaries, and retainers, these bold privateers venture into hazardous warzones and uncharted space in search of profit. Elucia Vhane stands proud amongst these luminaries. The scion of a noble mercantile dynasty, she seeks to eclipse the rich history of her ancestors – or die trying. For sale: one incredibly spacious Thatos Pattern Extended Hab Module, perfect for a young Necromundan family looking to upsize out in the fresh air and open skies of the ash wastes. This Extended Hab Module is larger than the ones found in the Necromunda: Ash Wastes set, but it’s fully modular and mixes perfectly with the other kit, giving your gangs more places to hide from inclement weather.
