About this deal

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3L2j_pFgEukI think it's going to come down to whether you are using this somewhere you expect to need anti glare. The regular screen is going to be better in ideal lighting conditions. Anti glare is going to be far superior outside, traveling, or in sunny rooms (since bad glare can literally make handhelds unplayable there is no comparison). Although each screen protector will have its own set of instructions, we have some tips for installing your own.

On the other hand, I have some touch screen issues in the down left region of the screen where i need to press twice or thrice to register input. I didn't tested that specific region of the screen before applying the protector (or at least, i don't remember), so i don't know if the problem comes from the protector, or from the actual screen. Push the screen protector onto your console, starting by pushing the center and working your way towards the edges. Simply put, in our opinion, it’s the clearest of the bunch. From first glance, you may not really notice a difference, but once it’s installed, the clarity really seems to be apparent. Although it’s labeled as 99.9% transparent, we feel it provides slightly less glare than both the iVoler and Benazcap, but improved clarity. Some screen protectors come with an installation kit that makes precise application easier, while others require a bit more elbow grease to line up and smooth out. With this in mind, you might want to choose one that comes with a second or even third screen protector to give you a vital second chance if the initial application doesn't quite go to plan. A premium screen protector offers unbeatable protection against scratch damage with an excellent level of visibility. However, this needs to be weighed up against the relatively high cost involved.Use a microfiber cloth to wipe-clean any dust or microscopic particles that may be barely visible (but still on your screen). Ailun promises after-sales support, but they don’t offer a warranty with their screen protectors. It’s nice that there’s two included per box, and priced less than the others, but you’re not getting any extras like you would with the other options we discussed earlier.

For me personally, I'd rather have an etched screen and know I can use it when traveling regardless of lighting/sun. The convenience of having more scenarios it's useful outweighs the marginal difference in screen quality ( and if I'm playing something where I care about great graphics I'm playing it on my desktop anyway). This is a great point. I'm mostly going to use mine indoors or on gloomy Irish transport in the winter, so the anti-glare isn't that important. Anyone though, who's planning on spending loads of time with it outdoors, should really consider upgrading; glare will drive you nuts. But if playing outside isn't a major use case for you, I wouldn't recommend spending the extra money just for the anti-glare screen. Without one of the cheaper models on hand I can't do a direct comparison, but YouTuber The Phawx did briefly show off both models side-by-side in this video. He mentioned the anti-glare screen being a bit more fingerprint resistant, but anytime I used the touchscreen and went to take photos afterwards my fingerprints were there glaring at me, so don't buy this model expecting it to be smudge proof.
