About this deal
We played on the “adopt a dinosaur” basket I have seen at other dinosaur parties to be a game for finding your pet dinosaur.
Plush dinos - we also displayed a few plush dinosaurs around the house. They are the perfect touch to bring the whole look together. We went with medium-sized ones from Ikea. I put a plastic dinosaur in each of these kraft boxes with windows and made a name tag based on all the guests’ name and birth month.
For props I had a basket where guests could grab: the INSTAX camera, magnifying glass, kid binoculars, plastic safari hats, and that inflatable brachiosaurus. Dinosaur Party Decor I printed the clues on parchment paper sheets, cut them out, rolled them up, and tied them up with twine so they looked like vintage scrolls. Helium balloons - I inflated a large gold foil number 3 balloon, olive green balloons, and white balloons inflated with helium and secured with green balloon weights. You can pump helium balloons using a helium tank or get them filled at your local party store.
I found this cool treasure box and it was cute to watch how excited Connor was to dig it up a real treasure chest and open it with the key. In line with the dinosaur theme party, label little tent cards with creative phrases to describe the food such as: Follow along with these photos and instructions, there’s also a printable recipe card at the end of this article you can skip to here if you’d like. Bake your dinosaur birthday cake Everything was planned & styled by mommy aka Phases of Love! I always love using my son’s toys to help me with their birthday decor. We had so much fun diggin’ around their playroom looking for dinosaurs! It really was a DINOmite party!” Dinosaur figurines - I decorated the dessert table with an assortment of high-quality large dinosaur figurines including: t-rex, triceratops, brachiosaurus, brontosaurus, velociraptor, ankylosaurus, and pterodactyl. For a cheaper option, you can get a bundle of large dinosaur figurines at a fraction of the price.I designed the treasure hunt map and then printed it on a piece of paper that was dyed with tea like we did with the invitations. The plates were strong and durable which I feel like is important since party guests usually walk around and hold their plates. Plus, the bamboo plates fit perfectly with the theme.
