You have several options to configure the Mac mini M2. For the base M2 model, you can upgrade to 16GB or 24GB of Unified memory, and you can opt for 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB of storage space. You can also add 10 Gigabit Ethernet over the standard Gigabit Ethernet port.
Mac mini with M2 and M2 Pro will be available in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, and New Zealand beginning Friday, February 3. With a mini at the heart of my custom setup, however, if I want to update to the M3 Mac mini in 2022, or whenever it arrives, I only have to swap out the little mini. I can keep my monitor, keyboard, external storage, and all the rest. That minimizes the waste and expense of an upgrade. However, people in Australia will need to wait a little longer, with deliveries starting on February 3, 2023.
