Store in cool, dry conditions in a sealed container between 5 & 30 Degrees C. Protect from freezing. Use Sika FastFix All Weatherin small manageable amounts. Avoid spreading over a large area before application. Ensure material is all loose by raking through. Do not try to break up and use any small set lumps. Do not add any extra sand. Binds together the particles and sealing the surface to form hard impermeable non-dusting concrete and paving. To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

An advantage of Creteshield 101 is that it is hydrophobic, meaning it repels moisture. Most densifiers are hydrophilic, meaning they microscopically absorb moisture (they will stop moisture transfer, but over a long period of time they dissolve). Creteshield 101 will increase abrasion reistance by about 40%. Also suitable for greatly reducing Radon Gas. Creteshield 101 is the best product to use as a stand alone densifier. Because concrete paint is a surface coating and vulnerable to abrasion, it’s not the best choice for high-traffic areas such as concrete driveways. For these applications, an acid-based stain or dry-shake color hardener will offer better wear-resistance.

Dustproofer & Hardener

Concrete sealer can come in many “flavours” (please don’t taste them). There is much confusion and misconception about different types of concrete sealer. In this article I will discuss clear concrete sealers. We will classify coloured sealers as “concrete coatings”. They still seal the concrete but we will confuse the matter.

An easy way to test the moisture content of concrete before painting is to duct tape an 18-inch square of clear plastic onto the surface and leave it in place for 24 hours. If condensation collects under the plastic after that time, the concrete is too damp for paint application and needs additional drying time.
