About this deal

the way stevie was battling with her self image really broke my heart like it actually made me feel for her and i just absolutely adored the way zanders constantly praised her, making her love herself. he was so fixated on her from the moment he met her & him always wanting to protect her even when they weren't together, it was so so cute.

But when the team's General Manager vocalizes his blatant disapproval of my promotion to Captain, referring to me as an unapproachable lone wolf with no work-life balance, I can't think of a better way to convince him otherwise than pretending to date my outgoing roommate.Caught Up" is an amazing follow up and instalment to the "Windy City Series" and I am here for all of it!! Well, it's definitely a cute sports romance, but this book was unnecessary too long. If you are a fan of romance books in which the book shows the main characters as they are already in a relationship (because they had some type of relationship in about 40% of the book) read this. I’m personally a fan of slow burn romances because I think it’s just more realistic and I love the tension building throughout the book, so maybe that’s why I couldn’t give it 4 or 5 starts. Mile High is my first book by Liz Tomforde and I loved it so much! Zanders and Stevie were so much fun together- their banter was top notch and their chemistry was out of this world. Calling the most normal woman ever a WILD GIRL after knowing her for 50 seconds? Sir, Imma need you trigger anyone, but still, the message was delivered very well (including the characters’ emotions etc). ❤️❤️

I'm the newest Captain of the Devils, Chicago's NBA team, and the last thing I needed this year was for Indy Ivers, my sister's best friend, to move into my apartment. She's messy, emotional, and way too tempting. My favourite authors who both write inter-connecting athlete romances are Sawyer Bennett and Samantha Whiskey) kai is having a very tough time adjusting to life as a single dad while managing a professional baseball career. but his coach, monty, won’t let him waste his potential and retire so he does everything he can to accommodate max. when kai’s most recent nanny doesn’t work out, monty commissions his daughter, a gourmet pastry chef on sabbatical, to fill in for the summer. Nah, I’m still enjoying it,” I tell him honestly. “I gotta get that renewed contract by the end of the season, so until then, we have to keep it going.” I've been a flight attendant for years. I thought I'd seen it all, but when my new job lands me onboard working for the most egotistical and self-righteous diva in the NHL, I start to second guess everything. Including the promise I made to myself of never hooking up with an athlete again . . . no matter how annoyingly tempting he may be.What I don't like is the new flight attendant on our team's private plane. She works for me, not the other way around. But I'll be sure to remind her of that, and I can guarantee, by the end of the season, she'll be begging to quit her job. Stevie and Zander. Their chemistry was amazing and I can’t fault that. The banter, the dialogue, everything about them together worked. You know, sometimes I look at him and get irrationally mad at you because you were with another woman before me. The audacity you had not to think of me then, you know?” I liked Stevie, she was portrayed as normal girl with flaws and I could relate to her in a lot of ways. Our hero Zander, I didn't like him a bit at the beginning of the book, but then, despite having a few ups and downs, I loved him.

You don’t have to love your body every single day. That’s unrealistic to expect, but I’ll be here loving it for the days you can’t.❞ I’ll be reading book 2 (but not for a whiiile), since I liked the characters that were introduced and people seem to love it more, but I’m keeping my expectations neutral.

The third act breakup was so petty, it just came across as the author wrote it for the sake of it. The ending was sweet tho. Overall, an okay-ish read, too overhyped imo. I get that part of this book is body positivity and the h is a curvy girl but when the author needs to remind her readers that the h is a curvy girl for the 100th time and the h's whole personality is her weight it starts to get tiring and annoying!! and don't get me started on the whole storyline with the H's career bc that was one of the most absurd things i've read.

and i have to mention that she was kind of giving i’m not like other girls at times. she drinks beer constantly, only buys thrifted clothes (even though she has money) and uses stained sweatpants and dirty sneakers almost all the time. she’s so different, right? and the weirdest thing is that there’s this scene where she goes out in the street with mustard in her chin — and yes, she’s aware, but she doesn’t even bother to wipe it. like, hello?!I didn't know that was a moment i needed to read so badly, but when Max finally said 'mama' to Miller that hit me right in my chest. It was so cute. 🥺 i hope she actually listened to people’s criticisms this time about writing stories that aren’t hers to tell The spice was 5/5. Zanders is a playboy so he has moves and skills he deserves, but I was pleasantly surprised by Stevie’s confidence, even if he was initially hesitant. They were flammable in the best way. On the romantic side, I couldn’t stop fainting. The way Zanders loves Stevie through his insecurities and the way Stevie loves him through her grudges on the past is so good. They challenge each other and get stronger. tell me why i didn't write a proper review for one of my favorite reads this year? idk but im fixing that, so here's a horribly written review 😔 I love Stevie so much!! She’s my favorite F.M.C. because she actually has a personality. She was so perfectly written and she was so mature and knew how to take & talk shit. I relate so much to her when it comes to self-esteem and even though I’m not plus size, the representation and discussions on body insecurities was one of the most awesome things about this book. Stevie is such a strong woman and I honestly aspire to be like her!!
