It’s important to remember that yellow cards are for kids and blue cards are for adults! Don’t go getting those confused as it might lead to a somewhat awful evening. However, Trivial Pursuit Junior strays from these classic categories. Instead, the game opts for slightly more kid-friendly categories (i.e., ones that kiddos might actually know the answers to).

Under the traditional Trivial Pursuit rules, a player’s turn continues till they have answered a question incorrectly. An Overview of Trivial Pursuit’s History After determining which player will go first, the chosen player will get to take a turn! They’ll either roll the die or spin the spinner to decide how many places they’ll move their token around the board. Once this number has been rolled or spun, they will remove their token from the central hub and travel their allotted number of spaces down a spoke and onto the board’s main path. Trivial Pursuit Family Edition was launched in 2013 as a special edition of this well-loved board game. While the original game was advised for players aged 16 and over, this edition is suitable for kids from the age of eight upwards. Dozens of question sets have been released for the game. The question cards are organized into themes; for instance, in the standard Genus question set, questions in green deal with science and nature. Some question sets have been designed for younger players, and others for a specific time period or as promotional tie-ins (such as Star Wars, Saturday Night Live, and The Lord of the Rings movies). In Trivial Pursuit Junior, each game board space has a color corresponding to one of the game’s six categories. These colors indicate which category the active player will answer a question from.
