About this deal

There is already concern from immigration lawyers about the upbeat slanting of statistics. The Home Office likes to say that almost 1.5 million people have been granted “some form of status”, but this masks the fact that currently about 40% are getting the inferior pre-settled status, which obliges them to adhere to strict rules on continuous residence for up to a further five years or risk getting pushed out of the system.

Nicolas Hatton, co-founder of the3million, an organisation set up to support EU nationals, describes the decision to introduce an application system with a cut-off date as a timebomb, because so many will fail to apply on time. Switching metaphors, he warns this will be an “illegal immigrants factory … designed to create thousands and thousands of illegal immigrants”. In addition, the PCC doesn’t have the resources, he maintains, “to take up general observations and complaints from anyone who chooses to write in to us in the whole country. If we did, no one with a genuine grievance would get any help from us.” But the PCC sometimes does issue a statement on a particular subject, so why not on this? “We do if relevant groups approach us, but we’d want to consult widely to make sure we said something new. It’s a serious matter, but there are all sorts of other matters: the list could be endless, so we have to respond to requests.” He is a Miami boy born on September 4, 1985. He says the trip to his mom’s family in Gubbio “was the most incredible cultural experience .” That trip made him realize that his “life wouldn’t be complete if travel wasn’t a big part of it.” The Society for the Protection of Science and Learning, meanwhile, tried to find academic posts for elite scientists and researchers. It isn’t fanciful to imagine current asylum seekers making similar contributions to those made by the Jewish prewar and postwar immigrants. This becomes so pivotal in the face of overlapping identities and as much as one would want to deny but the interplay of one’s religion, sexual orientation, the native place and the country where one settles in- are important for some; for some these are the roots of belonging, markers of identification.

Being" is the present participle of the verb "to be." (For comparison, "cooking" is the present participle of the verb "to cook.")

Howard, McIntyre and Griffith all have a legal right to stay in the UK because the 1971 Immigration Act gave people who had already settled in Britain indefinite leave to remain, but all have struggled to gather enough documents to convince the Home Office that they arrived before the cut-off point. I asked her what would you want to know if you were me now, and you could see this coming – what would you do? She suggested pacing first and foremost – learn to pace properly. I had never really understood what pacing was – I thought it was to do what you’re doing, but do it more slowly. The German diplomat presiding over the occasion (who asked not to be named) exhibited a mournful sense of humour at some of the questions. His mother returned to Jamaica when she retired, and Howard’s problems emerged when he wanted to visit her urgently when she became ill in 2005. He applied for a passport, but his application was rejected because he had never naturalised. He hadn’t known that this was necessary. His mother died without him seeing her in 2006. Been is always used with the auxiliary verbs has, have, had, and will have. As a present participle, being is not used with these auxiliary verbs, but it may possibly appear next to them when used as a noun. Examples of been and being used in a sentence

The difference between "Being" and "Been"

To restate, here is where I am now. There is someplace that I am not currently. So in your original sentence, it should be "here" rather than "there" because you are currently at the time of speaking at that place.
