What we like: Excellent mix of carrying comfort, ventilation, and build quality at a reasonable weight. But which brand is better? Well, that’s for you to decide. After all, every outdoor lover has different needs and preferences. The aluminium frame might not suit everyone it feels a tad like an old-school external frame. The gentle curve to this frame takes a bit of getting used to. BTW, bladder systems seem kind of antithetical to ultralight to me. I like to use Aquamira when I am really shaving ounces. Reply

Ergonomic and breathable shoulder straps with a chest strap with clip that has an integrated safety whistle and a hydration system clip. Moreover, I had a bit of a hard time removing, cleaning, and refilling the hydration bladder. It is more difficult to use than Osprey Sunyco’s hydration reservoir. The Exos is not adjustable. However, it comes in three different sizes. I didn’t have a hard time finding a size that fits me well.The Gregory Endo boasts an adjustable suspension system, a large 3-liter 3D-Hydro water bladder, and outstanding storage and organization. The compression straps on the side helped manage this load. They are big enough to carry a liter bottle of water on each side. This is my preferred method of carrying water. Even though it’s a lightweight model, the Optic comes with fully padded shoulder straps and waist belt. The company’s custom molding hip belt technology is one of its greatest achievements.
