About this deal

I’d seen MyOva mentioned here as well, if you don’t mind me asking, did you notice any difference with any other PCOS symptoms? (Obviously the main aim is to sort my cycle which I’m assuming is going to be a bit of a mess, I realised after I posted last night that it’s been closer to 15 years continuously on the pill, so no idea what things will be like when I stop ). But if it was to help with shifting some stubborn weight that I can never seem to lose no matter what I do, or reduce some excess hair then that would be an added bonus! Engage in physical exercise every day. This is much easier if you are able to find a form of exercise that you enjoy, so try out a number of different options to see what works for you As well as the Inositol, and other various supplements, I took Soy Isoflavones on CD3-8. The theory is that they act in a similar way to Clomid - kind of like nature’s Clomid, to Inositol serving as nature’s Metformin. I was staggered when I ovulated on CD20!

PCOS is actually a ‘mixed bag’ of signs and symptoms. Many women that have PCOS will look very different from each other. There is no ‘typical’ as it is so variable. Consequently, diagnosing PCOS is not easy because the patients are often so different from each other (some may be overweight, others slim).Hi all. We’re finally ready to start TTC, 36 with PCOS (diagnosed via blood test and ultrasound). I’ve been on the contraceptive pill for the last 10 or so years, so to be honest can’t really remember what my periods were like other than the fact that they were irregular (maybe every 2 months or so and I think fairly short!) but did happen.

Before this i did all my research and just happened to come across this, so was bit nervous whether to go with it as never heard of it before. I dont crave food as much. I’ve lost over a stone in weight. I was never really over weight but still needed to lose some. But I dont know whether it was down to this OR the fact I was on other medication that I had to come off before starting IVF or maybe both. The medication I was on before doesnt increase weight so I have no idea how I managed to lose a lot as I’ve struggled to shift weight for many years. As I said I wasn’t clinically overweight but I was on my high end of my BMI and I didnt want to increase that any more. The unique formulation contains: Myo-inositol + Folic Acid + Alpha-lactalbumin; making it 52% more effective than myo-inositol alone. I found the very same thing with metaformin, no one knew what to advise me, my midwife asked her senior midwife who then ask the OBGYN who said it was safe to stop, so I did. Unfortunately it was roughly timed with when my pregnancy ended so I've driven myself mad going round in circles with it, but in all honesty it was probably a bad coincidence. I just wish there was more definitive information but sadly I just don't think that there's much time and investment into research into PCOS despite it being quite common, so we are left to fend for ourselves (and go down mad Google rabbit holes often!) The menopause causes a drop in the production of female hormones such as estrogen and progesterone, which eventually causes you to stop ovulating (technically a full year without a period signals the start of the menopause). Women with PCOS may already have low levels of progesterone before the menopause takes place.

The condition often runs in families and affects different women in different ways, with some experiencing symptoms much more severely than others. If left undiagnosed or untreated, PCOS can lead to a range of complications in later life which, as mentioned above, may overlap with symptoms of the menopause. What are the symptoms of PCOS?

Impryl

Taken during treatment it has been shown to improve egg and embryo quality and reduce the risk of Ovarian Hyper Stimulation Syndrome (OHSS). It can be taken throughout pregnancy and reduces the incidence of gestational diabetes (GDM). During reproductive years, many women with PCOS are focused on fertility and having a family, or they might be interested in managing the various symptoms. However, as one gets older and you move into the menopause, an increased tendency to put on weight together with insulin resistance can lead to more serious issues. There is an increased risk for PCOS women of developing the Metabolic Syndrome (Met S). This is a combination of key factors that can put a woman at risk of cardiovascular disease in later life. What is metabolic syndrome?

Iz91 I'm ok thank you, it's all still quite raw and I've gone a bit mad with timings and OPKs even tho it's only been 2.5 weeks since I had surgery. How are you doing?

Support

Just started trying for number two in January. Got pregnant month one of ttc. Ended in mmc at 8 weeks (but I caught Covid at 4 weeks so who knows). Just got bfp again yesterday first cycle after miscarriage completed. This time round ttc has been effortless, versus two years of hell and almost every intervention to get DS, all of which didn’t work, until I took inofolic.
