About this deal

KRK ROKIT monitors are among the most popular on the market, but it is fair to say that former ranges have been the subject of quite a lot of debate in audio communities. They look impressive, and they are marketed well, but some of the incarnations of their speakers have historically left a little to be desired when it comes to using them in the studio or as DJ monitors.

I did have to return these once as I blew one speaker out. I am not sure if it was a manufacturer's defect or my own error, but Guitar Center has a generous 30 day no questions asked return policy. Upon buying my second pair I opted for the Pro Coverage which extends my warranty to a few years. I, in particular, am a huge fan of speakers that work with their listeners in terms of the different tuning and EQ options. If the KRK's size is too enormous, the JBL 305P MkII is a decent alternative. The tiny 5-inch woofer nevertheless delivers a deep bass. After all, if the quality of the sound is the most important feature, you’ll want to make sure you can produce the best sound at all times and in as many ways as possible.

The KRK Rokit series' striking design is famous. Yellow woofers are a common sight in many studios. Both experienced and inexperienced. While the design is subjective, it is difficult to overestimate how popular they are. The famous yellow is still there in the current generation, although it is now more subdued. A step up from the previous brighter yellow. It still makes a statement, but not in the same way that the previous generation did. You may also choose a white model if that is more appropriate for your studio. Higher-grade controllers won’t be an issue immediately connecting to the Rokit 8. Smaller and cheaper controllers, on the other hand, will almost exclusively be RCA-bound. This means you’ll need to invest in a good set of conversion cables if you want to listen to them. Tuning Options Input and connection-wise, the new KRK Rokit 8 is fairly simplistic in what it offers. Simply put, it’s not going to be anything particularly special and is just for plugging in and connecting out to other speakers.A new low resonance speaker enclosure features a revamped front-firing port, offering exceptional low-end extension, punch and flexible room-positioning. High density open cell acoustic Iso-foam pads decouple the speaker from the surface minimizing vibration transmission for improved clarity. Simply put, if you’re looking for a powered studio monitor that can produce a serious punch on all frequencies, then there isn’t anything else you’d need. For beginners that don’t know of the various intricacies of powered studio monitor placement, the KRK audio tools app feature can have them perfectly station their speakers on the first try. The new KRK’s G4 follows the iconic KRK Rokit design to the letter while also building upon many of the G3’s slight shortcomings. One of the better examples of this is the KRK Rokit 8 G4 monitor speaker set. A tried and true heir to the KRK Systems brand, these new Rokit G4 studio monitor units present themselves to the world as the next step in powered studio monitor development, offering robust and incredible features at a reasonable and competitive price.

The KRK brand has always been known for producing well-made, reasonably affordable studio monitors. While the previous G3 generation wasn’t perfect by any means, they still had a ton going for them.Rather than focusing on cutting corners and reducing costs in any way they could, the developers over at KRK Systems decided to put together an awesome powered studio monitor working at much reduced operating temperatures improving audio integrity even further. One important issue to mention is that the RP8 is designed for a larger room, or fully isolated, sound proofed area. On a brighter note they do sound great and the hissing is almost not audible when playing any noise trough them. if you wanted a quiet pair of speakers this is not it. Starting with what the Rokit 8 excels in, while it has an overall decent balance, you can tell that this studio monitors has a slight love affair with its bass and low-end frequencies. Well, My mix's are coming out much much better. These speakers don't sound amazing to me, (obviously because they are not hyped) but they sound just fine for listening and are quite loud with plenty of bass. Obviously they are designed to translate well not to make you think they sound good. Isn't this the real reason for buying monitors?

The textured matte finish is also outstanding. It is dust-free and has a professional appearance. When you combine this with the huge bass port, you have a really appealing monitor on your hands. Dimensions If you are looking to buy speakers in this price range, there is a lot of competition from brands like Pioneer and Yamaha. KRK has always retained a following even after some lower-quality speakers, and many DJs have found them great for monitoring. With the current range, though, these speakers have been brought up to a studio level, and offer real competition for some of the other top speakers at the same price point.Dedicated low and high frequency level adjustment controls / Allows you to optimize the monitor's response to better match the room acoustics and the user's personal preferences Under the hood, there's new amplification, DSP, and control (the KRK Control app) for what is essentially an all-new active studio monitor that sounds a lot like its popular predecessors... but just a little better. KRK's Rokit Generation 4 employs matching Kevlar drivers to maintain consistent sound integrity across all frequencies and reduces listening fatigue. The sound quality of the KRK Rokit 8 G4 is amazing. As with many speakers, they will need to be broken in before they are at their optimum. The balance is acceptable. The low end is a little more prominent, as is typical with KRK. If you don't want to add a subwoofer to your setup, this is ideal. However, it is not suitable for flat response listening. The highs are sharp and clear. Mids are also enjoyable. The sound is warm and soothing, which helps to reduce ear strain.
