I've had/owned/used and killed cheaper power tools and I've come to the conclusion over the years that cheap tools, specially those that require power of some sort are cheap for a reason. They don't last or the product is updated in such a way that you cannot get parts for which means you have to throw it away and buy another cheap power tool.

I've owned this Makita Jigsaw now for at least two years if not longer now. i did pay more than I would have liked to have done but even to this day and even tough it doesn't get used that much it's still like new. The 780 watt overload capable motor will cut deeply through anything you throw at it with ease. This includes hardwood, aluminium, steel and other metals. The soft grip bow handle is beyond comfortable after a long day’s work and coupled with Bosch’s new saw blade clamping system, you will be making extremely precise cuts in no time.
