About this deal

And a man who commits adultery with a man’s wife—who commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor—the adulterer and the adulteress are surely put to death. Tara Carver seems to have the perfect life. A loving mother and wife, and a business woman who runs her own company. But, one night of madness, on a work trip far from home, she puts all this at risk.

If there is a man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, one who commits adultery with his friend’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

If a man commits adultery with a married woman—if he commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death. Before it all blows up Christian suspects something is wrong but he also thinks he should trust Tara. I am a huge fan of all of Tony Parson’s novels but this one takes the cake, absolutely his best work. I recommend you get this one in your hands or on your tablet asap! Tony writes so well and always is able to draw you in and keep you attentive and on the edge of your seat. This one is no exception. Thanks for reading my review! I think that’s inseparable. Rita Ora’s birthday party – I’m sorry I did it but even more sorry that I got caught. That’s what we’re really sorry about. It would be a different world If you didn’t get caught, everybody would be happier in blissful ignorance. Tara does regret it, she regrets that it’s caused this, it’s never worth hurting people that you love for some thing that’s got the emotional depth of a Deliveroo pizza. It’s not worth it but at the same time if the situation was the same it would probably happen all over again. New neighbours moved in a few months ago. I saw the husband not long after they had moved in and we introduced ourselves and exchanged pleasantries. I’m new to Tony Parsons and will be reading more of his books after having read and enjoyed Your Neighbour’s Wife.

Imagine you’re looking at a painting of a happy family. It looks so lovely, soft focus, perfect, right down to the goofy Golden Labrador. Then the author passes you high definition spectacles, and suddenly it’s all in sharp focus! Hard to put down, I tore through it in two sittings. This tale of an illicit one-night stand with devastating consequences is a hugely enjoyable read.' ALEX MICHAELIDES If a man commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death. But if we return to the list of Ten Commands provided in the summary above, there are some curious things to note about the numbering. Swenson is helpful here, telling us that whilst Judaism considers ‘I am the LORD thy God’ to be the first commandment, Christians tend to view it as a preface to the first commandment (the one about having no other gods before Yahweh). But even within Christianity, there is some disagreement about how the first few commandments should proceed. And suddenly her dream life becomes a living nightmare when the married man she spent one night with tells her he wants a serious relationship with her. And that he won’t leave her or her precious family alone until she agrees.

There’s a lot of stuff in the novel that seems personal to parsons, like the choice of careers the couple had in the past. I always feel optimistic and always put in the work and give it my best shot to make it as good as it can be. I’d work seven days a week for a year just to get it to that level where it should be but I’m always optimistic. Sometimes it’s how you control it. There’s so many authors had books come out this year and they’ve faded away and then there was the glut in the autumn, every one grasping for attention. But I’m always optimistic, I’m also clear right through this I want to be read. I’m a commercial writer I write for the marketplace, when I was a music writer I didn’t write for a fanzine, I wrote for a big music paper that sold quarter of a million a week. I’ve always got hopes, I was slightly disappointed when murder bag only went to number one for a week, of course, pleased the gamble paid off, but at the same time I’m thinking JK Rowling would have been there for two months. This is a taut psychological thriller that intrigues and left me panting for the final ending. Each twist and turn was deftly done and takes the reader on a crazy ride. I felt that the characters were really well done and the storyline smooth, I didn't miss a beat reading this over a few hours cover to cover. Tony Parsons (born 6 November 1953) is a British journalist broadcaster and author. He began his career as a music journalist on the NME, writing about punk music. Later, he wrote for The Daily Telegraph, before going on to write his current column for the Daily Mirror. Parsons was for a time a regular guest on the BBC Two arts review programme The Late Show, and still appears infrequently on the successor Newsnight Review; he also briefly hosted a series on Channel 4 called Big Mouth. Tara Carver seems to have the perfect life. A loving mother and wife, and a business woman who runs her own company, she's the sort of person you'd want to live next door to, who might even become your best friend.

I sat there staring at her naked foot for several minutes, partly because my nerves were getting the best of me. If she woke up and caught me, not only was my marriage possibly ruined, but her husband is an executive in my company. My career could be impacted as well.Indeed, Deuteronomy gives a quite different reason from Exodus: oddly enough, the reason, the exodus. It states (5:15): ‘And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.’ Tara is a successful entrepreneur, running her own dating app business with her friend Mary and the support of her picture perfect family. Or so it would appear... but one night, on a business trip to Tokyo, Tara has a dalliance with a smart, charismatic man she meets at a conference and her life begins to unravel before her eyes 👀 Hard to put down, I tore through it in two sittings. This tale of an illicit one-night stand with devastating consequences is a hugely enjoyable read.' ALEX MICHAELIDES, author of The Silent Patient MY THOUGHTS: I read Your Neighbour's Wife in less than twenty four hours. This is the fifth of Tony Parsons books that I have read, and the fifth five star rating. This is very different to his Max Wolfe series, but every bit as compelling, as good, if not better. This is a gripping story of love, family, friendship, marriage and infidelity. If any man commit adultery with the wife of another, and defile his neighbour's wife, let then: be put to death, both the adulterer and the adulteress.
