Laura Sharples running her five fashion boutiques and trade is blooming with her daughter Candice at university and living in a new four bed house things could not be better for her since her days a s working girl Crystal. This book is fast-paced, addictive and completely absorbing. I loved Beth's character and was fully invested in her story. She comes across as genuine and believable. This is the second book I've read by Heather Burnside but this book is the 5th in the Working Girls series. I feel like it works just fine as a stand alone book but I definitely want to read the others. she has a beautiful daughter who she is very close to. somebody from laura"s past is trying to destroy all that she holds dear to her. This book is book 5 of the working girls series and it lived up to everything I thought it would be .

Blackmail : A completely unputdownable gripping and gritty

Many thanks to Heather Burnside, Head Of Zeus and NetGalley for providing me with an advanced electronic copy of the book in return for a honest, unbiased review Guilt is the 6th book in the excellent Working Girls series. I have loved each and every book in this series and couldn't wait to start reading this new instalment. (Don't worry if you haven't read the other books in this series as this can be read as a stand alone story). This book did not disappoint. This is a fantastic read, an excellent story line with some great characters. Couldn't put it down! Another exciting read from this author brilliant can't wait to see if there's another one in the series.' Netgalley Reviewer, ***** Beth and Brady Harris, eating the most famous Mediterranean food at The Amber Room, The owner Martin Bradshaw, wealthy but most of all good looking. Beth turns to Martin a Manchester gangland criminal for help, and Heather's masterly storytelling shows how rounded all people are: bad people do good things and good people do bad things. I am always enthralled with the complexities of the human psyche and non more so than the criminal mind, so really enjoyed this read.Having just finished a book by Heather Burnside and thoroughly enjoying it, I decided to dive straight into another and what an excellent decision that was! The plot was excellent and the characters so believable. After taking a career break to raise two children Heather enrolled on a creative writing course. During that time she had many articles published in well-known magazines and went on to run a writing services business before focusing on her novels. As always this author manages to take you on a realistic journey of high drama and fast action with no faffing around but just a well written exciting story
