ounces (1/2 cup) rum – dark or light (see notes in the blog post about why you might choose one or the other!) I don’t like lots of ice in my drink, I find it dilutes its flavor. I’m using 15 small ice cubes per 1 large drink. Depending on the preparation method you’ll need whole ice cubes or crushed ice. You can make crushed ice yourself. The best classic Piña Colada recipe (pineapple coconut drink). The original recipe consists of only 4 ingredients but there are still many Piña Colada recipes on the internet. They call for different ingredients from pineapple juice to fresh pineapple, different kinds of rum, cream of coconut or coconut milk, and different ingredient ratios. I’ve tried many recipes before finding my favorite one. My Piña Colada is refreshing, not overly sweet, and tastes distinctly like coconut and pineapple. We love it and we could drink it all summer long! Once opened syrups should be stored in a cool place, out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources like boilers or stoves. Then, blend it all together again and if you feel like you need to, add about a cup of ice. This will give you the strangest and most vibrant flavor. (But note that it will give you less servings because there will be less ice.)We have tried quite some pina coladas recipes so far, and to be honest, this is one of our favorites! Coconut cream: Made from coconut milk, this cream is not sweetened and is great in curries, laksas and smoothies. Need to cook for a crowd? You will need to keep the cooked pancakes warm while you work your way through the whole batch. Place them on a baking sheet, loosely cover them with foil, and keep them in the oven set at 200 degrees F to keep them heated up and fresh while you finish cooking. tsp Pineapple extract (optional; add an additional 1/4 to 1/2 cup pineapple if omitting the extract) ▢ The Spanish explorers discovered the pineapple in the lush of the tropical Americas and brought the fruit to Europe. They thought pineapples looked like pine cones, so they called them "Piña". The British added “apple” to the translation of piña (pine) and the delectable fruit’s English name was made! This beautiful tropical fruit is enjoyed by many for its delicious flavour and also as a garnish. Pineapple wedges and pineapple leaves are a great way to dress up any tropical beverage. But when it comes to pure pineapple flavour, MONIN Pineapple is the easiest option to accent countless beverages. Use a measuring cup to get pancakes that are all roughly the same size. I like to use a ¼ cup measure. This homemade piña colada is so easy to make! As long as you have a blender and the necessary ingredients, you’ll be sipping this tropical drink before you can say “which way to the beach”😎Chunks of fresh pineapple are a great choice. Or you can use canned pineapple chunks if you don't have fresh. When ready to make the Piña Colada, combine frozen pineapple, cream of coconut, some ice, and white rum. Blend everything (except for the dark rum floater) until smooth. Frozen pineapple chunks are fabulous for smoothies, like my Orange Smoothie with Pineapple. And they keep in the freezer for a long time so it's easy to keep them on hand to make a smoothie whenever the mood strikes! Taste: Balanced nose of pineapple and coconut, ripe pineapple taste with notes of desiccated coconut. Coconut cream: You should be able to find small 5.3oz cans of coconut cream in most grocery stores, which is exactly the amount you need in this recipe. If you can only find a larger can, you'll just have to measure it before adding to the blender. Be sure to use full fat coconut cream.
