Giles Martin on Remixing and Expanding the Beatles’‘Let It Be’ — and What the Future Holds for Their Deluxe Editions Revolver and Rubber Soul are the two Beatles albums that were most in need of remixing, with Rubber Soul expected in 2023. The Revolver recording sessions began on April 6, 1966, following a rare four-month break. “One thing’s for sure,” John Lennon said a few weeks before the band’s return to the studio, “the next LP is going to be very different.”

The box set also includes the original mono mix of Revolver. Although fans of mono will love it, most people prefer to listen to music in stereo.

The suspense over which album by the Beatles might be next in line to get a remix and bonus-filled boxed-set treatment is over: It’s officially “ Revolver.” Besides the versions of “Rain”, the other outtakes are interesting in how the songs progressed to the finished versions. “Yellow Submarine” started completely different, with John singing… “In the place where I was born, no one cared, no one cared.” Of course it eventually became a children’s singalong song. Van Morrison is churning out the new albums with a fourth ‘Accentuate The Positive’ coming put in November. It will be the fourth Van Morrison album since 2021. I have my father's original Capitol U.S. copy of Revolver, several of the later U.S. pressings. a no bar code German copy and an original Parlophone

Very cool set. The astonishing aspect: the Gilles Martin mixes still let you hear the albums as you knew them (different to the remixed Rory Gallagher albums re-released in the 1990's that were completely different to the originals). Well done, just better than the 1966 stereo with its clear division of left and right channels. And even though the 2012 stereo is my personal favourite (a 24bit/ 48 kHz file pressed on vinyl with surprisingly good results), this as a creative whole might be the best way to experience "Revolver", an album that clearly contains one negative aspect: it's way too short. So this box set is making me very happy, as it shows the Beatles on top of the game. Apple Corps and Universal Music have confirmed that a deluxe celebration of the 1966 release — which, like the Beatle boxes that have preceded it, will include a Giles Martin remix — is in the pipeline for this fall.Taylor Swift Beats Her Own Spotify Record for Most Single-Day Streams for an Artist With ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ Release No Blu-Ray, no sale for me. It’s that simple. First major Beatles release I’ve said “no” to…and that’s over 55 years. He added then, “I think we’re getting there with technology. I thinkwe are. I’m not doing it at the moment, though, I can tell you that much. But hopefully. So, yeah — watch this space.” All the rest of the songs on side one are also impressive. The voices and instruments are so clear on “I’m Only Sleeping”, “Love You To”, “Here There And Everywhere” (Gorgeous!), “Yellow Submarine”, and “She Said She Said”. We’re hearing the nuances of the instrumental arrangements for the first time.

Actually, this is so overpriced right now I’m not sure even an inclusion of a BluRay for Atmos would do it for me. Nearly everyone agrees that Revolver is one of the best albums of all time, if not the best. So let’s get right to the review of the much anticipated remix.I know you folks don't like GZ media. I had the one or two that were not the best ever presses I own, but most of the time they do a good job, and I feel they're working hard to quiet negative discussion. With this release they really show their ability not only with the vinyl included but with anything else that is contained in this box. And the box itself is beautiful, too. The book is a dream.
