About this deal

Armistice Day: A Collection of Remembrance - Spark Interest and Educate Children about Historical Moments When Albie's mum dies, he wonders where she's gone. His parents are both scientists, but his dad keeps saying his mum is still alive and with them in a parrarell universe.Curious to find the truth, Albie grabs a rotten banana, a computer and a cat to see for himself.

This is the story of a boy called Albie who loses his mother who died of cancer but by the help of his dad's book of quantum physics, he uses them to his advantage and makes ' The quantum banana theory ' to travel through the parallel universes of the multiverse in search of a universe where his mum never died. By far my most favourite book yet as I LOVE science fiction, especially space science fiction. It's funny what goes through the world of quantum physics... Talked about the Dutch edition, the translation is done really well, with extra attention to the correct choice of words. So, you don’t have to worry about the quality of the translation. Aunque sentí que es un libro más enfocado para niños y adolescentes, es una historia hermosa, que te mantiene con un nudo en la garganta , en suspenso y con el corazón apachurrado y conmovido Surely, because grief and moving forward is the theme, this is the kind of book to be enjoyed by anyone, kids or grown-ups or anyone in between. In this book quantum mechanics plays a big part. It is all explained very well because it is explained by a 10-year-old. All the physics is spot on in this book, which I really really really love. So, if you’ve enjoyed the idea of A Thousand Pieces of You, you will definitely enjoy this book as well, even though it is aimed at children (10-13 year-olds). Albie has lost his mother but something his dad says sends him into an adventure—in some parallel universe his mother is still alive, and he's set on finding. With a few adaptations, he creates a machine that creates the paradox he needs to open the door to the other lives he might have had. This book wasn't so bad it was a bit sad since his mom died at the start but how he went to different worlds only to find that one person always dies in every world. In the last world he found out that he's the one that dies but got to see his mom.

In theory, this adventure based in quantum physics could have gone on for another 100 chapters. In theory, it could have kept going forever. I found this book ok the build up to the story I found boring but the rest was really good. This book is about a boy Albie Bright and his mum died of cancer and he uses quantum physics to find his mum he finds hi mum in a parrelel universes but went on a long journey to find her.He founds a girl version of himself and an evil twin definitely reccomend it. When we first meet Albie he tells us about his mother's death, and I defy anyone not to fall in love with him right away. Once his dad talks to him about quantum physics Albie is convinced that with the right invention he will be able to travel to an alternate universe, one where his mother is alive. This middle grade drama is a fun exploration of one aspect of quantum physics, and doesn't dwell too heavily on the trauma of losing a parent. Considering the topics covered, it's a light read that even reluctant readers might be tempted to try. A bit funny, a bit sad and a bit mad. Aimed squarely at the pre-teen/YA demographic, ‘Many Worlds’ mixes science fact (all of which apparently accurate) with science fiction and fantasy with lots of fun. This is a great book for the open minded and imaginative reader of any age – with an interest science in general and quantum physics in particular.I enjoyed reading this book. I found it sad when Albie's mum died from cancer. Also, I wanted to read more when he went to different parallel universes because i wanted to know what happened next. A big book with a big brain, big laughs, and a big, big heart." --FRANK COTTRELL BOYCE, New York Times bestselling author of Millions and Cosmic Ganz selten beginne ich meine Rezensionen ja mit dem Klappentext. Despite the author's easy explanations, or maybe even because they were so easy, the method Albie finds is incredibly hard to believe. And the weird applications to theory were as unrealistic. However, it didn't get in the way of my enjoying it, because the how is definitely not the point. He could have just stumbled into a magical portal. His journey and the conclusions both Albie and me as the reader reach by the end were really the thing.

I'm overwhelmed with how wonderful this book is....it was spectacular and moving and so sweet and simple.

I wasn't sure at first how much as I was going to like this but then, with the final half of the book pulling no punching and wearing its heart right on its sleeve, I was won over: hook, like and sinker. When Albie's mother dies of cancer and his father, a science celebrity is busy globetrotting the media world, then Albie decides that he would do all he can be find his mum some way. Even if that meant continuing her research in parallel universes and finding his way to her...in somewhere completely different. Kirsty Jenkins loves the allotment her grandfather lovingly tends and, just before he dies, he asks Kirsty to look after it for him. Unfortunately, Mr Thomas from the council has other ideas and insists the allotment must go to the next person on the waiting list. I'd love this book in all the worlds. Heartbreaking, heartwarming, heartstopping. Amazing. Holly Smale Readers who enjoy this will also like Ross Welford’s Time Travelling with a Hamster, another funny, warm-hearted novel about family and time travel. Stephen Albie Bright leads a happy, normal life. Well, as normal as it gets with two astrophysicist parents who named their son after their favorite scientists, Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein. Ocr_converted abbyy-to-hocr 1.1.20 Ocr_module_version 0.0.17 Old_pallet IA18121 Openlibrary_edition Albie has lost his mother to cancer, yet her legacy as a world-renowned scientist inspires him to search for a parallel universe where she still lives. But then Albie’s mother dies of cancer, and his world is shattered. When his father explains that she might be alive in a parallel universe, Albie knows he has to find her. So, armed with a box, a laptop, and a banana, Albie sets out to do just that.I am enjoying this book because it is very facinating how they talk about paralelle universes because maybe some people has never talked about this stuff and might learn something new in this book. It is funny, sad, interesting and science related so it doesn't just has one genre, it has a different genre that everyone can enjoy. I would definately recommend this book to a person who loves science. One of the best science fiction books ever! Love the constant universes starting with bad Albie then clever girl Albie then Albie's dad who was a coal miner then last of all, Alboe's mother. It's heart breaking knowing Albie's mum is dead because I have a great mother and would want to die if my mum died. In total this is a fabulous book and I've read the other author's books and they are simply marvellous. Overall I would recommend this book to someone (especially nerds)!
