In 1977 or 1978 she found she had cervical cancer, and she concluded that its cause was her unwillingness to let go of resentment over her childhood abuse and rape. She refused medical treatment, and began a regimen of forgiveness, therapy, reflexology, nutrition, and occasional enemas, and claims she rid herself of the cancer. She declared that there is no doctor left who can confirm this story, but swore that it is true. Everything we do we, we do use our Attention and Energy. It's quite inspiring to think that though Louise Hay is no longer with us, her words continue to be read, absorbed and paid forward. That's got to be a good thing. A solid 3.5★ from me.

Compulsiveness: This stands for physical, mental, emotional compulsive patterns, addictions and or overthinking etc. I enjoyed the book, it was a light read. Took me about two weeks, some chapters were definitely better than others. Loved the idea of the wounded child inside of us, I actually did take her advice and have become an overall more positive person since and just shifted my perspective on a lot of things. I also really enjoyed the part about being environmentally conscious as I do agree we are one with the environment and, yes, we do have to take care of the planet. Why not give it a go and see how you feel about it? You know, never know it until you try it. So I did the inevitable: *fast forwards 3 minutes * I tried it. How often do we seek the opinions of others when we have a problem that we cannot seem to solve? The next time you are faced with a challenge, before you ask everyone else for the answers, try asking yourself first. By doing this you are setting an intention to the Universe that you require assistance, and you are opening your own mind to seeking beyond its default reach.

The next time something happens to your car, make a note as to what you feel the broken part represents and see if you can connect it to how you are feeling at that particular moment.
