About this deal

Chaos wins. The Winds of Chaos shatter their ancient prison and open a third Warp Gate underneath Middenheim, turning the world into a twisted hellscape, slaughtering and consuming the souls of every person in the world, plus everyone who ever died beforehand, before wandering off to find some other world to ruin. Only a few refugees escape into other worlds and other universes where, it's implied, the whole process will start all over again from square one, with the same ultimate conclusion. Entitled to Have You: Elize feels this way towards Erikan even telling him to his face when she admits she loves him. Tyrion has this attitude towards Alarielle as he starts to become Khaine's avatar.

In Book 4, what few Lizardmen survive leave the world in tiny bubbles that lead to a different world. Warhammer still lives! We here at Warhammer Fantasy keep the game alive. Come, join us and relive an Age of War unending. Irony: Zacharias the Everliving is now ironically dead, due to his refusal to serve Nagash. Also Heinrich Kemmler (the Lichemaster) getting killed by Arkhan (a lich, one of the first in the world); Arkhan even lampshades it. The Lost Kinsmen by William King (originally published 1990 in Realm of Chaos: The Lost and the Damned, ISBN 1869893522, republished 2013 in Gotrek and Felix: Myths and Legends, ISBN 9781782511328) [2]

After a day and a half of ceaseless climbing, Archaon stood before the massive double gate that served as the entrance to the Shrine. Through the gateway was a labyrinth filled with dire beasts and vengeful daemons. Scyla Anfingrimm- Surviving a fall of a high tower and an apocalypse confirms him as the most badass chaos spawn. The book starts off strong, setting up a monumental battle between the skaven & the dwarves for control of ... oh, hell, all the dwarven strongholds sound the same to me. Karaz a Karak? Whatever. Anyway, lots of fun is had with the skaven, and the dwarves are plenty stolid and interesting. I'd say I overall enjoyed the first third of the book. The Three-Eyed King has long awaited this moment, the hour of which his destiny is at last unveiled. He leads an army of madness and rage, against which no sane being would willingly stand. Perhaps I am not sane, as I will fight one last time. Not for victory, but for survival, for the hope that a spark can endure. It is a slender hope, and the laughter of the Dark Gods rings loud in my ears... These are the End Times..." The Lord of the End Times by Joshua Reynolds | Goodreads

Beneath every sleeping city, beneath every town and mighty fortress, the Skaven hordes surged out of their tunnels in their tens of thousands and brought about a wave of sudden violence and destruction that eventually overwhelmed the rule of Mankind's kingdoms. Under-tunneled and overrun, every major city was now a blasted ruin over which a ragged clan banner openly flew. The Skaven lost a great many of their warriors, to such extent that none could ever count the ocean of half-eaten bodies that littered the filthy streets of each and every city, but such were their numbers and cruelty that none shed a single tear for their lost kin, for they have many more and the fruits of their victory had brought about a new cycle of violence that would threaten to plunge their race once more into open civil war. [4a] Two days before the Emperor was due to depart for the Sylvanian Campaign, riders from Kislev urgently came to Altdorf and gave the Emperor dire news. The Kingdom of Kislev was in flames. The armies of the Dark Gods had gathered in their hundreds of thousands, and the northern lands of Kislev were awash in an orgy of blood and fire. Boyar Syrgei Tannarov of Chebokov warned the Emperor that the lands of the northern and western Bolgasgrad had fallen and were awash in a sea of barbarians. Given the severity of the news, Karl Franz expected the Ice Queen to invoke the terms of their old alliance, and to call upon the Empire to march north to Kislev's salvation. The Boyar made no such demands, but told the Emperor that Kislev was lost, and that the Tzarina was attempting to hold the Chaotic hordes along the River Lynsk. She had no hope for her people's salvation, but did so with the hope that the Empire might have time to avoid such a similar fate. [1e] Alternate Universe: The End Times that lead to Age of Sigmar is not the same universe as the one depicted in editions 5 through 7, nor the RPG, nor any books or games that came out in that period. All of them are quite explicitly set during or after the Storm of Chaos (a weaker attempt by Chaos to end the world that was repulsed), with a detailed timeline. See also Retcon. If anything this should have been the ultimate ascension of Nagash to master of the world with all the death going on. These novels and short story were collected in omnibus in 2009 and with additional short stories in 2013 and 2019 ( ISBN 9781784969875).

Or it is just me :) I haven't played for years now, and these books evoked the memmories of some past times when everything was different, more simpler. God in Human Form: The End Times introduces the concept of the "Incarnates", eight individuals who are the "Incarnates of the eight Winds of Magic". The "Winds Incarnate" were made by Teclis to create an opposing force to the Four Chaos Gods. These novels were authored by C. L. Werner and collected in omnibus in 2015 and with additional short stories in 2019 ( ISBN 9781784969349). Badass Boast: "SETTRA DOES NOT SERVE! SETTRA RULES!" Made even more badass in that he said this to the Chaos Gods themselves after they offered him immortality in turn for his service. These novels, novella and short stories were collected in omnibus in 2013 and 2019 ( ISBN 9781781939598).

Yet, while the forces of the northern wastes were now challenged at every turn, the pride of the Dark Elves' northern holds once again proved to be their folly. Each hold, fortress and army stood alone against their foes rather than united under a single banner. [1c] The stupidity of such pride and avarice was perfectly demonstrated in the slaughter which followed. The city of Clar Karond could have been saved from utter destruction had Malus Darkblade's army lent its aid towards their beleaguered brethren instead of looking to its own interest. Many times had Hellebron ranted and railed from Har Ganeth for aid to stop the berserk invaders from breaching her very gates, but none deigned answer the call. Eventually her city was finally overrun, and in her bloody madness, the Blood Queen accepted her fate and gave praise to Khaine as she and her remaining acolytes filled the streets with blood offerings. To the north, what remained of Ebnir Soulflayer's army was slowly worn away in vainglorious attempts to stem the advance of Chaos. Once again the Druchii, by their very nature, had sown the seeds of their own destruction as they fought not out of a sense of duty to their country and people, but for a chance at forgiveness from the Witch King's wrath. With their pointless endeavours, pride, and vanity, an irreplaceable portion of the Dark Elves' already dwindling military reserves were lost. [1c] Kinslayer: This novel is the latest entry of the Gotrek & Felix series of novels. It's part of a trilogy named ''The doom of Gotrek Gurnisson''. In this novel Felix has settled down, with a wife and child, while Gotrek has travelled north to meet his death against the northern hordes. Felix, unwilling to leave his friend to die alone, and to honor the promise he made to him, follows Gotrek to the north, and also reunites the gang in the process: Snorri Nosebiter, Max Schreiber and Ulrika Magdova. Warhammer: The End Times is a series of campaign books for Warhammer Fantasy Battles (8th Edition). The first sourcebook, Warhammer: Nagash, was released in August 2014. The End Times has some similarities to the Storm of Chaos story line as both focus around Archaon's Chaos Incursion into the Empire, but the End Times adds a large amount of original material and the original end is totally different - by the end of the last book, the Warhammer World has ended and the vast majority of its population are dead, giving way to the Age of Myth. At the massive Temple of Sigmar in Altdorf, the cursed Templar knelt before the Golden Statue of Sigmar and begged for a sign, to ask Sigmar for relief from the darkness that had come to consume him whole. But the golden statue stood silent, and with its unspoken words, the Templar knew that all was hopeless. He renounced the gods of the South but still affirmed his hatred for the dark gods of his father, accepting the cruel destiny engineered for him as a means to repay the Fates for the evil they had done to him. On a smaller scale, basically every book before Archaon as well. Each book ends on a hopeful note, but several characters are dead and the good guys have only won a pyrrhic victory at best. There's a reason the books are all named after the antagonists.

Slayer: The final book of the Gotrek & Felix saga. The survivors of Kinslayer get involved in stopping Be'lakor's plans to usurp the Chaos gods, and the first Slayer himself has to step in. These novels and short stories were authored by C. L. Werner and collected in omnibus in 2019 ( ISBN 9781781939888). The End Times are coming. In the warrens of Skavenblight, a new power is rising. The verminlords walk the earth and they plan to lead the skaven to their destiny as rulers of the world. But for Queek Headtaker, the only destiny that matters is his own, as he plans his final assault on Karak Eight Peaks. In the depths of that ancient city, two rival kings - the goblin Skarsnik and the dwarf Belegar - prepare to meet the onslaught. And in Karaz-a-Karak, High King Thorgrim Grudgebearer presides over what he knows, in his heart, is the end of the dwarf empire. The Horned Rat rises and nothing will ever be the same...
