I should know better! I’ve been burnt by frog tape before but I thought I would give it another go and again it’s pulled all my freshly painted wall off when removing the tape even when lightly applied and removed immediately after second coat!

Only problem was the adhesive was that strong it lifted a lot of the top cot emulsion so I had to cut it in again aftwards which I hoped wouldn't have been needed.Originally Frog tape came in a bright green roll and was made to stop paint from bleeding through the edges.

Useless. Worse than useless ruined our new painted wall. Ripped all the paint off. Comes in a pointless plastic container, millions going to landfill unnecessarily. Terrible product do not use Bought the more expensive yellow "delicate surface" tape to mask an emulsioned wall prior to painting rails, frames, skirting. Did the test on a smaller area - perfect! Masked up, painted a larger area, removed as advised - it took off most of the paint underneath leaving me a big repair job. Crap!! If you can't trust the test what do you do. Clearly you can't test it all - that wouldn't be a test that'd be doing the job!! Ironically this is the first time I've ever used FrogTape and, even more annoyingly, the first time I've ever masked to paint rails, frames etc, relying instead on a good brush, care and patience. Never again!! And finally, we have the eurocell. This is by far the cheapest tape and is in the test really to represent the basic unbranded masking tape you will find in any shop. So not holding out much hope for it, but let’s see how it gets on. I’m painting a ceiling an off white color. My wall to ceiling is a light gray. My problem I’m having a real difficult time painting at the top of the wall where it meets the ceiling. I’m careful; but I’m still get the light gray slices on the off white ceiling. I’ve tried twice and can’t get it done right. Nice clean lines where each color meets. What is your advice to be able to get clean lines of paint where each color meets. What type of tape should I use. Example right now: I’m Painting wall to ceiling. I have light gray swipes on the off white color ceiling. What is the best direction to go forward and accomplish this at this point.

After letting the paint dry a little, it’s time for some peeling. We start with the frogtape green. As you can see, it’s done quite a good job overall, but there are some areas where the paint has leaked under the tape, so not perfect. This tape bleeds through no matter what you do. I’ve tried everything and it still bled through. It is so frustrating. I was trying to surprise my granddaughter and remodel her bedroom. I tried all the suggested recommendations and it still didn’t prevent the bleeding through. Wood by name, wood by nature. The kind of room you’re painting, the surface type and other factors can make a big difference in your results. The next tape to be put to the peel test is the kleenedge. I had never heard of this brand before, but it is quite an expensive tape, coming in at a very similar price to the two frogtapes. Two good results, the second strip is almost perfect aside from a small area in the bottom left which is more my fault than anything. I think this has edged top spot for the time being. Please don't waste your money on this green frog tape ... it does not come off never mind leaving a residue it takes off the paint its protecting ...it is expensive compared to other tapes but it is totally useless. FrogTape Delicate Surface painter’s tape removes cleanly from the recommended surfaces for up to 60 days.
