A subsidiary question: Is there any way of having the Amcrest Smart Home App called from a card on Home Assistant when the doorbell is pushed so that HA is minimized. It would also be nice if there was a way for HA to regain the foreground after a period of no speech on the intercom. I received my Amcrest AD110 video doorbell yesterday and was able to get both it and the included module for my existing mechanical chime hooked up. I have not been able to get remote access working yet, but that's alright because I will be using Blue Iris. Likewise, I did not install a microSD card. Otherwise everything works adequately... "as expected." I have enabled stream in config and the camera works well with picture cards but only with camera_view: live. Video connection is actually better than their app but with 3-10sec delays. This is my first video doorbell but have other Amcrest camera, so I cannot compare to other video doorbell, but the doorbell functions as claimed.

I absolutely love the Amcrest AD410, it has so many really great features including some AI features, the image quality is pretty good in both night time and daytime settings, especially how it handled that super bright environment and it gives you the freedom to capture and store the footage pretty much however you want, all for a great price and it’s definitely a doorbell I am confident in recommending. Now lets talk about the all important image quality of the Amcrest AD410, and as mentioned this is a 4 megapixel sensor at 2560 x 1920 with a really nice 164 degree field of view. It is a little bit of a lower frame rate than you might expect at 15fps, however honestly I don’t think that is a big deal for a doorbell camera and in my experience I didn’t find myself needing the extra framerate. In the automation set the trigger to the rest sensor state and leave the fields blank so any change would make it trigger, I added two conditions to prevent false triggers incase connection dropped and the sensor went to unavailable. not trigger.to_state.state == 'unavailable' I hadn't thought about it for a while but the Amcrest AD110 stopped waking the app a few months ago when someone hit the bell though it did ring the inside bell.
