I wanted to wear it. BUT. It is my mom’s signature scent. She has been wearing for ages. As much as I love this perfume composition and performance, I can’t keep wearing it because I have this strange feeling of stealing an identity of my mom 😁. Call me crazy 😜. So I just gave my bottle of Dior Addict to my mom.

Amber fragrance with floral notes. Rich, sensual, encourages you to bold and straightforward actions, it makes you feel free and energetic. Dance! The top notes are mandarin leaves and mulberry flowers; Night Queen Flower, Bulgarian rose and orange flower are in the heart; the base is created with Bourbon vanilla, sandal wood and Tonka bean. The perfume was created by Thierry Wasser in 2002.This is a very good fragrance, good-quality stylish and somewhat oriental. I feel here perfectly all the components of the base- tonka, sandalwood and vanilla. Exactly them, I feel right from the start and up to the finish. I have bought many bottles over the years to always ensure that I don't run out. Now that I recently found out that it's been reformulated, I'm in a panic to find a big bottle of the 2002 version before it completely disappears! I have a suggestion… why not work with what you already have and ‘study’ them as though they are all you will ever have? This gives strong, feminine, mysterious, indepependent, confident vibes. It's sexy, but not "date night" sexy for me, more boss lady sexy. Like I imagine a female CEO wearing this. enjoy what you already have in the collection. Use one perfume in different seasons and occasions to see how it works and changes.

Go completely dark on any fragrance information for at least six months(deactivate or delete accounts) Such a shame it has been reformulated and, not for the better as far as I am concerned. I am fortunate that I bought a very large bottle just prior to reformulation and have kept it for going out. Nearly done now. ☹️.I don't care what reformulation happened. I don't miss what I never knew. I don't even have words for this. Vanilla + amazing= door addict. It's expensive to me so, we are gonna save this puppy for special times or when I wanna show out. Addict to my nose, is quite a warm, sensual, but understandable fragrance. It isn't swoon-worthy to me, nor is it insane if undersprayed or applied moderately. I actually do not feel as if this pushes boundaries now in today's climate, but it could've been that way in it's early years (nearly 2 whole dang decades ago). I don't really feel as if it's overtly sexy, but I don't profess to understand the mind of a heterosexual male and their preferences, and won't argue with it. *I* don't feel any type of way in this, merely comfortable and warm. It's a cozy fragrance (this is very, very similar to my thoughts on Armani Code Pour Femme...and they have an extremely similar personality). The smells gets considerably better and bij de 2 hour mark it becomes very warm and cozy. The more time goes by, the more the vanilla nd tonka beans become the star. Dior Addict starts with a whiff of fresh mandarin and then goes onto intense orange blossom & jasmine.

Ok so I go to the Sephora fragrance wall after any minor inconvenience or bad day so there's not much to it for me after a while, but something must have changed in my nose cause Dior Addict is suddenly just so alluring and so so sexy. hours later and wow, I'm impressed. It's still projecting like how other fragrances would for only like one hour, and many would have tapered off by this point. It's still spicy vanilla, but a bit more on the vanilla side now, and projection and sillage still going strong. So I will give this credit in that department. I love this perfume, and although I’m biased because of the memories attached, I honestly think it’s Dior's best scent. It’s vanilla, it’s green, it’s floral, it’s woody, but it’s blended so well that none of the accords overshadow any of the others. They all mix together to bring out the best in each other.
