I will say I’m super happy that Tiana got her own story, because I feel like she’s an underrated princess who never really got her time in the limelight. It was also really nice to read something where she’s not a frog for 3/4 of the story…

Disney's New York Times best-selling series presents a rich anthology filled with all-new what-if twists, such as What if Snow White learned magic? What if Mulan became the emperor's advisor? And what if Remy the rat met Colette first? It's a fast, easy read, and it's perfect for younger audiences, and for those who enjoyed The Princess & The Frog and wants a little bit more of Tiana, her passion for cooking and the relationships with her friends and family. All of the scenes with her Mom and Dad seriously tugged on my heartstrings, and a few of them left me in tears. Another thing that I loved was that this is written in third person, and there's more than Tiana's point of view.

But when Captain Hook reveals some rather permanent and evil plans for Never Land, it's up to the two of them to save Peter Pan – and his world. It was also nice to have voodoo explained as being a religion that focuses on good energy instead of dark magic, as it is often shown in the media. A hard line was made between the dark energy that Dr. Facilier used, and voodoo, which was refreshing. I always hate when religions or cultures are misrepresented due to popular prejudice. Rochon makes sure to avoid this in her book. Even though I have never seen the movie, I didn't really needed the knowledge. I flew through the chapters and I really think the shorter chapters make this book really easy to digest.Having pulled the sword from the stone, scrawny Arthur has gone from washing dishes to sitting on the throne at Camelot Castle. What he doesn't know is that the scheming witch, Madam Mim, used her magic to help Arthur free the sword, believing the boy would be easy to control once he was made king.
