About this deal

The old version of fx-82MS, has the same hardware than fx-570MS, 100MS, 115MS, 991MS, well function suited models, the predecesors of fx-ES plus series. Haven't really been doing much on the forums so I didn't see this until now, sorry about the extremely late reply.

There has been a great deal of value to me in my involvement with the project. Would like to share it with the reverse vat calculatorteam so they can also read it and implement something new. The materials used in ClassWiz series calculators comply with European RoHS environmental regulations, an international standard. So anyways I got a Casio fx-82MS 2nd edition and a 100MS. Unfortunately these are the ones which are all patched up. I came across this situation recently and ended up with a screen which I guess needed a secret code to access. Maybe these are only for the Devs. As long no one has found a way to look at all the memory externally, we cannot really be sure if all memory is cleared. Same for me. Even removing the battery doesn't seem to clear the memory completely, I once left the calculator without a battery for a whole day so all capacitors are drained as well, and I still got mixed results. In the video publish above you can see the power consumption of the while system. About 2uA@3v, and near 1uA on stand by. (Look at the multimeter scale). Even more amazing is how its easy-to-use STATISTICS menu crunches data. It is so much fun that I perform statistical analyses of almost any data I come across. This of course means that I can explain better the meanings of these analyses. The Casio fx-82SUPER is a scientific calculator with 10 digits precision and algebraic logic. It has 52 functions, 38 keys, and an LCD (liquid crystal) display. The power source is 2xAA. The calculator was manufactured in China. A sample of this calculator is held in the calculator.org collection. Facts at a glance: Feature Basic but essential functions such as Statistics and Table are available to support student's learning.

I really understand the popularitiy of this calculator in Spanish classes, I have studied ESO and Bachillerato in a highschool in a town in Málaga, and almost everyone had the fx-82MS. the most interesting thing is that he found that the hardware beneath the buttons is in fact a matrix keyboard. There are more pins (keyboard combinations) that were actual buttons in the calculator, so he analyzed that and found that some combinations can be triggered to directly activate extra modes from the superior model. I have a hardware setup for that I'll show off as soon as possible. The software layer is still pretty much unexplored, so that's why I'm here This exhibit has a reference ID of CH7045. Please quote this reference ID in any communication with the Centre for Computing History. On pressing these keys it ended up to a screen displaying 8888888888 and no keys work here except Shift and [on] The columns and rows names k* and ki* aren't just because, but Those are the names labeled in the calculator board, so I kept them to make things easier.

I'm an owner of several Casio calculators, all from the fx-82MS series. In Spain (where I live) they are very common because they are really cheap. Scientific calculators are the best -when we know how to use them-, but not all are the same. I've owned one for years, since I started college, and at the time I bought the one that fit my needs, the Casio fx-82ES. While going further with my career I started to use complex numbers (among other things), and it's a heavy math to do on a non-complex calculator, and the Casio fx-991es did had it.

Intuitive, easy-to-learn icon display

Not only the display settings are kept, but also the last used mode is still active, but will be in a broken state."
