In combination with FRITZ! Box WLAN routers and their feature-rich firmware FRITZ! OS 6.90, the FRITZ! Repeater 3000 can be connected to a WLAN mesh network. This guarantees an uninterrupted connection when changing the end device from the connection between router and repeater, even videos or music continue to run smoothly. Alternatively, the repeater can also be connected to the router via a LAN cable and then used as an access point. Finally got around to doing a factory default reset earlier today. Sorry for the slow reply, just been too busy to do it.

I had this exact problem as well, I found updating the firmware to 07.29 on the repeater fixed this problem but I did not find anywhere that said this would fix my problem so it was a bit of trial and error.

Is it showing as part of the MESH? Perhaps a factory defaults reset of the 3000 , then remove it from the MESH and re-imclude it using WPS on both your 3000 and 7490. so having a bit of time to test the 3000 its a pretty dam good unit and does actually work in the full mesh standard , the other standard it uses is for its smart home tech which we prob wont see here the other repeater is a Mesh Repeater, regardless of whether it is a FRITZ!Repeater, FRITZ!Powerline device or FRITZ!Box. I then have to try reconnecting via WPS etc, but the only way I can get this thing set up is to factory reset it (hold connect button for 15+seconds)
