About this deal

No, wait. There're four things you need to know about me: I don’t like to work. At all. I'd go so far as to assert that I am entirely abnormal in my contempt for it. A sort of cynical pragmatism colors my approach to adult life and all its attendant cares. I think of myself as seeking out a sort of hedonistic equilibrium whereby I maximize the amount of money I earn while doing the least amount of work. And to that end, I am happy to report, I have been largely successful.

The whaleman’s rule of thumb was that, before diving, a whale blew once for each minute it would spend underwater. Whalemen also knew that while underwater the whale continued at the same speed and in the same direction as it had been traveling before the dive. Thus, an experienced whaleman could calculate with remarkable precision where a submerged whale was likely to reappear.” It took me awhile to warm up to Trevor. He's different from Aidan and Shawn, which isn't a bad thing. He's a confident and honest man (not always with himself) who has come to Ireland to build the theater and learn more about his roots at the same time. He didn't count on being mesmerized by Darcy Gallagher.Thar she blows! A papier-mache whale complete with fizzy (heh) stuff coming out of Moby’s blow hole (heh and heh). Terceiro e último livro da Trilogia Irlandesa, com Darcy Gallagher e Trevor Magee como protagonistas. I had always been a fan of Jon Krakauer’s writing for Outside magazine, even before I became a writer myself. There she blows!” was as much a part of my vocabulary as a child as “Launch the torpedoes” or “Geronimo” or “Remember the Alamo.” I wasn’t using it correctly, as I was not hunting whales in the middle of Kansas, but I did use it as a rallying cry for a charge against my childhood chums as we chased each other from one end of the farm to the other. Of course, in 1820 when a sharp eyed lad in the crow’s nest spotted a spume on the horizon, he would yell down to his crew mates, “There she blows!” and the chase would be on.

Never felt the passion or heat between Darcy and Trevor really... there were a few sweet moments that I liked but all in all, I didn't "feel" the connection like I did with the other two. Not sure why really. Just an overall disconnectedness (right word?) I suppose. I enjoyed what happened with all the secondary characters, finding out what was going on with their lives. Not Even Bothering with the Accent: Chris Hemsworth uses his natural Australian accent for Owen Chase, a character born and raised in the United States. I just found this to be an important event in history. Yes; Not all of them are pleasant. I learned a lot.I finished this book yesterday afternoon but was feeling way too lazy to update! I really liked this series, and the last book was definitely a treat. Trevor Magee, as gruff alpha-male, was fun to read, especially with Darcy throwing things at him! Awesome book, totally exciting, humorous, and emotionally inspiring. This was a fast read and a visionary thrill. I laughed out loud so many times from the things Darcy did or said. Trevor and Darcy are perfect for each other and their romance was full of fun excitement. It was perfect and at the end I'm hugging the book from all the happiness from every character the author has created. Nephew of George Pollard, Jr., who was asked to take care of him on this journey. He was shot and killed by his best friend, Charles Ramsdell, after suggesting that the men 'cast lots'. I saw the movie of this title and it entranced me to buy the book with all of the facts in it. Once I got past Chapter 4, I zoomed through it. Beware for the feint of heart though. These poor men go through so much trauma. This book isn’t really gross in its description, but a lot of the imagery it conjures just might be enough to twist sensitive stomachs. Also animal and marine life lovers want to watch out. Other than the fact that it is about a whaling ship there are other things that might be distressing, as the men forage for food. Ahem.
