About this deal

I have PTSD (and work in a high stress job), which means I'm in a constant state of high anxiety; I often deal with night terrors and some major depression as well. I've learned to use aromatherapy/perfume to keep me calm... and I'll review those also, but Daisy is unique among them.

Daisy opens with a sweet strawberry note, freshened by some light citrus. A prominent violet note emerges early on, light and lovely, more dewy and green than powdery and melancholic. It is joined by some barely-there sweet white florals. This scent is delightful. Juicy-sour fruitiness, a touch of aquatic notes, all supporting the sunny florals. It's feminine and innocent but not not sweet, and it's noticeable but not heavy. It seems easily blind buy-able and gift-able because it's just that pleasant and agreeable and appropriate for any age.It starts off as described, with kind of a burst of fruity and floral notes, nothing special, but as the base and heart notes come out, it becomes a warm, comforting, but also clean scent. I think it’s the musk and a little bit of wood annd vanilla alongside the floral. Whatever it is, it’s so nice! It’s so light and charming, and honestly weirdly comforting? On me, it almost has a skin scent type smell because of the ozonic notes, which I loveeeee. Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight was another limited edition release alongside a Daisy Eau so Fresh version. I'm in the minority again here, but I think it would be a bit "much" on a teenager and it suits me as a 30-something mother. It strikes a nice middle ground where it is youthful but definitely in the territory of grown-up perfume. I agree with the reviewer vsmr that it would be perfectly appropriate for night and I have enjoyed it in winter-- it really blooms under a cozy sweater! It's medium-loud and I can't overspray or it's too much. I get whiffs on my clothes into the next day, so I'd say longevity is impressive.

Daisy is a fairly safe blind buy in that I don't think it would be offensive to anyone. It's very similar to the likes of Chance Eau Tendre by Chanel. Crisp, clean, a little musky with feminine, transparent florals. It's a versatile scent suitable for daytime in warmer weather - and can be an easy-reach every day scent or go-to office scent. To me there's nothing particularly groundbreaking about this fragrance, but it's certainly likable. Marc Jacobs Daisy Spring is an unexpected oriental fragrance, very different to what we have come to expect from the Daisy perfumes. The main note is cardamon which is a slightly spicy note, and combined with a rosewood and rose scent this creates a perfume I never would have expected from a Marc Jacobs Daisy. Looked for something out of my comfort zone, walked around Ulta for an hour sniffing. Normally I’m a gourmand gal, but decided to try the Daisy because it had a travel size.

Artificial Flowers

There are better perfumes IMO from Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Pacifica, Zara, or whatnot. Some are even fragrance mists and outdo this scent both in composition and performance. When I smell this, I picture myself in the meadow in the valley of Yosemite. There’s no one else in the world except me and my poodle chihuahua dog. I’m watching her run around in the fresh, dewy grass with the biggest smile on her face. It’s 7 am in morning and a little brisk, but the sun is out and the sky is blue with some light cloud coverage. There’s dew on the grass and yellow flowers. That’s Daisy! Quiet, fresh, peaceful, dewy, feminine, floral, cheerful. This is followed by a floral bouquet of wisteria, lilly-of-the-valley, jasmine and a hint of violet. The reasons why this perfume is appropriate for all ages is because its very discreet. Is not childish young but is also far away from maturity. Is simple, non pretentious and feminine, yes, but also with just a slight touch of androgyny. Is not your overpowering floral, nor is it motherly. Is also not necessarily sexy (at least not in a maneater way). This beauty still has a point in which it misses self awareness, she hasn’t realized her potential. She is not manipulative. She has a clean spirit and peace in her heart. She has nothing to prove and is full of life, HER LIFE, not that of another. I joined a fragrance club at my favorite online discounter (my primary dealer, you might say), and Daisy EDT was my first selection, a travel-size of the original Daisy EDT, which I am given to understand is quite basic but which I suspected I would like, on the basis of the parfumier, Morillas, and the notes (all my floral fave raves, plus some fruit that I felt cautiously optimistic about). And indeed, what do you know, I am become normie, I guess, for I love this demure little concoction, with its delicate violet shadows, discreet vanilla-tempered musks, and white florals that plumb forgot they were the sexual organs of plants and wouldn't know an indole if it bit 'em in their sweet little powderpuff asses.
