About this deal

This foundation contains SPF15 and the consistency holds the SPF, which is why there was a slight white cast. We suggest going a shade darker Introducing a foundation that leaves skin feeling fresh, comfortable and hydrated... Essentially Natural Foundation from No7. Step 2: Apply No7 Essentially Natural Foundation smoothly using a brush or sponge, working downwards and outwards from the centre of your face. I've never tried No7 ( I don't really wear foundation TBH, but I have a Soap&Glory CC cream that is a bit too peach but blends in ok, and a Bare Mineral powder) Even though it gave light-to-medium coverage, it covered blemishes well and the shade matched almost exactly. This would be the perfect everyday foundation, it worked well with both primers and gave a lovely natural finish – our skin looked like, well, skin. We did favour the beauty blender application because it gave a smoother-looking complexion, but the difference was marginal.

coverage but not matte foundation for mature skin Full coverage but not matte foundation for mature skin

This is my all time favorite go to foundation as it's light, moisturizing and gives good coverage but still lets your skin breathe. I tried it this week ( Superlight) it's very nice (I used my fingertips to apply but I will buy a sponge. I have a foundation brush too, but I need to practice with that)Despite the fact it gave decent coverage with a single application, we did try building it a little more to see how well it would cope and it performed admirably. It didn’t leave our skin looking caked. The consistency is a light-medium runny liquid, and this gave light coverage. It did leave our skin with a glow, as the Luminate part of its name would suggest, but we instantly had to powder our oily areas. The foundation overall felt like it would slip off the face no matter which primer you use. Given that this is one of the most expensive No7 foundations in the range, we were highly disappointed. Out of all the foundations in this No7 foundation group test, the Essentially Natural foundation gave the lightest coverage. It doesn’t really give full coverage to begin with, which is why you’ll need to build up to that kind of coverage if that’s what you’re after. As a result, the No7 Stay Perfect foundation could be a good foundation to cover all bases – lighter coverage for the day and fuller coverage at night. It also offers true-to-colour shade, even with SPF15.

Essentially Natural Foundation 40ml | No7

The shade came out lighter than expected, which is largely because of its SPF15 rating. The foundation worked well with silicone and water-based primers, and we preferred the look we used with the foundation brush because we felt it gave that bit more coverage where needed. Using a beauty blender gave more of a natural finish, which this foundation is designed to do and is ideal if that’s what you’re going for.Offering a gentle, even coverage, it hides away blemishes and minimises the appearance of pores. It contains our special mineral complex of ruby, amethyst and sapphire, plus our unique antioxidant complex, to leave your complexion looking radiant and healthy. We’re unsure why Boots doesn’t offer the same shade range across each type of foundation, or why it can be so difficult to tell which shade you are in each type.

I have only ever used the Protect and Perfect or whatever it's called but I really liked it. I went through two bottles of it, which is not normal for me as I am one of those people who thinks she's discovered a new Holy Grail Foundation every couple of months. That would be why I haven't replaced with a third bottle - but it was good stuff.Natural by name, breathable by nature. This natural-looking, lightweight foundation can form the perfect base for any No7 make-up look. Want to see great skin, not foundation? Discover No7 Intelligent Colour Foundation, a lightweight formula so skin-telligent, it blends seamlessly into skin for results that look undetectable and feel unbelievable. Now available in 6 shades, this foundation blurs imperfections with a sheer, buildable coverage that blends effortlessly for a flawless finish. The No7 Stay Perfect foundation is highly buildable and works well with a silicone primer. It was easy to work into the skin and it gave a natural finish, which we liked. Out of all the foundations in this No7 foundation group test, the Essentially Natural foundation gave the lightest coverage Also worth trying Dior Forever. Again it covers well but feels light on the skin and is great around the eyes.

I use the Superlight also after getting the colour match. I really like it as I don't want anything too heavy and it is, well...super light!Google Lisa Eldridge (proper make up artist, she does Kate Winslet, Claudia Schiffer, Kate Moss etc) on YouTube. Step 1: Prepare the skin by smoothing over a primer, such as No7 Airbrush Away Pore Minimising Primer. Chanel vitalumiere (the original or maybe even the aqua) then set with a tiny amount of loose powder. Yet while we’ve previously included No7 products in our various lists of Best Buys, now we’re delving a deeper to not only celebrate the brand’s foundation range but to put the best No7 foundations to the test. No7 has, in many ways, changed the game when it comes to affordable, effective skincare and makeup.
