Your Perfect Prep machine is designed for use with water straight from the tap so there is no need to pre-boil the water using a kettle or use bottled water. The Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep filters feature a unique filtration membrane which removes bacteria and other contaminates that can be found in water. This ensures that your water is clean and safe to make a bottle feed. A red change filter warning light will illuminate when the filter needs replacing soon. If this light flashes, the filter must be changed immediately.Pour 1 litre of clear/white (food grade) vinegar into the water tank. Top up the water tank to the max line with freshly boiled water and place a suitable container under the dispenser spout. On average each Perfect Prep filter should last around 3 months, however this depends on the frequency of use and what size bottles you are preparing. The original Perfect Prep machine features a warning light which will indicate when the filter is due to be replaced and the Day & Night version will display a message on the screen. Always ensure good hygiene by washing your hands and work surfaces before handling the water filter. Press the start/stop button. A green light will flash, and water will be dispensed to finish the cycle. The contents should be discarded. Using a cold-water sterilising solution (following manufacturer guidelines for using with 1.8 litres of water), add required amount to the water tank. Pop a container under the dispenser outlet to capture the water used to clean the system (ideally at least 1 litre capacity). The empty warning light should be off. The hot light should be on.

Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Replacement Filter: For use with both the original Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep machine and the Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Day and Night machine Therefore, it’s extremely important that you make sure you’re buying and using the correct Tommee Tippee filters with your Perfect Prep machine. This means that any volume below 100 ml may vary by +/- 5 ml, and any volume above 100 ml may vary by +/- 5%. The Tommee Tippee plain white filter and blue/ white filters are compatible with both Perfect Prep Machines. The perfect Prep™ can detect limescale build up, notifying you when it needs descaling. The descaling process will remove deposits of calcium and other minerals in the system that may affect its performance. A red descale warning light will illuminate when the unit requires descaling soon. If the red light flashes, you should descale immediately.
As is normal with all manufactured products, the Perfect Prep™ machine dispensed water volume has an allowed tolerance of +/- 5%. Additionally, there are potential tolerances in the measurement graduations of our Closer to Nature bottles. If you don’t have a receipt, then we would suggest getting in touch with our Parent Hub team. To ensure a speedy resolution with the team, please have the following information to hand. A red warning light on your perfect prep machine will indicate when the filter needs to be replaced; please change the filter as soon as this is indicated for your child's safety and health. The Tommee Tippee filters include an anti-bacterial filtration membrane which has been verified as being as effective as boiling water for removing bacteria. So, although other water filters will fit your machine, they will NOT remove the same level of bacteria.
Small particles of carbon may be in the bag or on the surface of your filter. These dust particles are harmless and will be reduced during the initial set up process when submerging in clean fresh water.
