About this deal

The egg itself is a gigantic milk chocolate offering with some streaks of white and dark chocolate for decorative purposes. Well, dark chocolate is very low in sugar and high in cocoa butter, whereas milk chocolate is high in sugar and milk and much lower in cocoa butter. If you’re a fan of dark chocolate then this beautifully presented Easter egg, with its pretty gold shimmer design, will be right up your street. What: There are few Easter treats more iconic than the Lindt bunny. But this is no ordinary bunny. This one-kilo gold rabbit is pretty much life-sized and comes in its own box with a strap for carrying, presumably so you carry it with you and eat bits of it throughout the day.

What: One of the biggest Easter eggs we’ve ever laid eyes on, this whopper from Kent-based chocolatier Cocoba weighs in at a weighty four kilograms. Gather together a few hungry mates to polish it off.

The chocolate egg is smooth and creamy, without being too sweet while the truffles are bitesized and decadent - with a rich praline centre. An absolute joy for those that love quality chocolate. 5/5

What: We love Chococo’s handmade chocolates, and the Dorset chocolatiers really outdo themselves at Easter with a huge range of great eggs. This milk chocolate number is made from their signature 47% Colombian milk chocolate, and 5% of every sale goes towards the Ocean Giants conservation programme. Instead of butter, use Stork hard margarine instead of butter. Lastly, here’s a few ideas you can use as egg replacements, so each of these = 1 egg. Popping with a multitude of different colours and sprinkles, this is an egg which would appeal particularly to children. How to make Chocolate Orange Easter Egg Cheesecake You can freeze the undecorated cheesecake, however you do need to let it set in the fridge first. Setting it in the freezer will affect the texture and it won't be as nice. Once it's set in the fridge, you can then put the cheesecake in the freezer for up to three months. Defrost at room temperature for a couple of hours. What can you use instead of orange extract?

How long do the cupcakes last for and can they be frozen?

Bear in mind that minimising cross-contamination is hugely important if you’re Coeliac or making this for someone who is. Here’s some tips from Coeliac UK on minimising the risk of cross contamination: Sadly, because of the high dairy content in the Terry’s chocolate orange mini eggs, this recipe isn’t low FODMAP. If you have a dark chocolate lover in your life, this is bound to go down well with them. The dark chocolate shell is crisp and not too bitter, and is laced with pieces of honeycomb throughout. Our Orange Chocolate gifts are the perfect balance of cocoa-rich chocolate and vibrant orange, adding a pep of citrus zest to any chocolate. We think it pairs particularly beautifully with milk and dark chocolate — the uplifting fruity flavour shining through, underscored by deeper, nuanced cocoa notes. Take a look and see for yourself.

You can eat the cheesecakes straight away, but they go firmer and are a nicer consistency after a few hours chilling in the fridge, or overnight. The Mini Ombles are a more bitesize version of the original, though the chocolate doesn’t taste quite as high quality. Self raising flour, which is very commonly used in the UK where I am based, already contains a raising agent and a little salt too. Therefore if you want to swap it for plain or all purpose flour, you will need to add some additional baking powder and also a little salt if you like. Some people like to add salt to cake recipes and some don't, so I'll leave that up to you as it won't affect the bake. The general advice is to add 2 teaspoons baking powder (a measuring teaspoon, not the kind you stir your coffee with) per every 200g plain or all purpose flour. So for this recipe you'd need to add 1 + ½ teaspoons baking powder. Please note, I have not tested this recipe using plain or all purpose flour. Can the cupcakes be made gluten or dairy free? This isn’t entirely a bad thing, however, as the chocolate was relatively smooth and retains a creaminess that might surprise non-vegans.

Cocoba Giant Milk Chocolate Easter Egg (4kg)

If you followed the recipe to the letter, then it’s likely that your oven was either too hot, or they were in too long. Overbaking brownies will mean they have no moisture to them and become more like a chocolate cake. This recipe is super easy to make, its a no-bake recipe and you will want to make it over and over and over! The good thing about this sort of thing is that if you don’t have Terry’s chocolate where you are, you can easily substitute it for normal plain or milk chocolate and add orange zest or flavouring too it to make it equally as delicious! What: Daylesford Organic’s gorgeous golden egg is made from sustainably sourced Peruvian cacao, and features a dark chocolate shell stuffed with smooth hazelnut truffle. The egg cup itself is whittled from walnut, so you can keep that for boiled eggs and soldiers in the morning.
