I honestly had not looked at woman's fashion - ( the designers and photographers ), in the same light - I have other artists, musicians and authors. Only because I was naïve and unaware. In den Textteilen erfahren wir, wovon die Mode Diors inspiriert wurde (und wird). Vor allem aber auch, wie es gelingen konnte, direkt nach dem Krieg, wo die Europäer noch mit Rationierungsmarken um das tägliche Überleben kämpfen mussten, ein Haute Couture Haus zu etablieren. Die Kleider Diors waren wie für sie erschaffen. Sie betonten ihre schmale Silhouette und betonten gleichzeitig die weibliche Linie. Wo es keine Rundungen gab, zauberte Dior sie. Tatsächlich aber schaffte Margaret es, ihre Mutter davon zu überzeugen, dass sie ein Kleid von Dior brauche. Die Königin-Mutter (eine große Freundin von Luxus) gab nach und schon lieferte Christian Dior drei verschiedene Skizzen, aus denen Margaret eine auswählte. Dior schaffte dies vor allem mittels seiner Opulenz, denn bereits zwei Jahre nach Kriegsende gab es wieder genügend reiche Leute, die ihr Geld für solche Mode ausgeben konnten und wollten.

Endgültig den royalen Olymp erreichte Dior, als Margaret sich anlässlich ihres 21. We learn the history of Dior's early years of working with other designers...( getting his start). Eigentlich durfte sie ja - wie auch ihre Schwester - nur britische Designer tragen. (Norman Hartnell war der Mann der Stunde, der auch das Brautkleid von Prinzessin Elizabeth gefertigt hatte)
