About this deal

The foot in the middle makes it impossible to sit straight on any surface that’s narrower than the keyboard. That may seem like a strange complaint, but we all use makeshift stands/surfaces at times. Build quality 4.1 In terms of all the different extra piano features, the Donner DEP-20 was also the clear winner. It has a bunch of different playing modes and superior polyphony, all of which are incredibly important in just about any piano out there. The Donner DEP-20 offers a wide set of different voices and a surprisingly accurate tone for its price

The extra mode of the Yamaha P-45 is layering mode. With this mode, you can load two voices at the same time which you can blend together. This mode offers a way for pianists to achieve unique tones that they won’t get when using just one voice. Can you buy the furniture stand seperately? I don't like the fold out metal stands I want a proper wooden piece. And to be honest, I found that the tones of the Yamaha P-45 sound better than the DEP-20 despite using the same tone engine. This may be because the piano was made by Yamaha, the better sound system, or my own personal taste. With that said, there are a bunch of pianists out there who agree with me on this, which is a clear testament to the quality and consistency of Yamaha pianos.Double Keyboard & Control Panel】This 88 key weighted keyboard provides dual-tone mode for combining two voices together, like piano and drum, inspiring to make a new creation. Panel includes sustain pedal, triangle pedal and audio inputs & outputs, perfectly used for music arrangement and an ensemble. If I have to be critical, the keys are slightly heavy, but that’s not the main concern. The main problem is the responsiveness of the action, which leave much to be desired. If playing faster runs or trills, you might feel like the keys can’t quite keep up. Yes, a sustain pedal is included with the digital piano keyboard. The universal sustain pedal with polarity switch is compatible with all electronic keyboards.

In terms of effects, the Yamaha P-45 only comes with reverb. However, this is really the only effect you’ll need as a beginner. With the different types of reverb on the P-45, you can add a lot of depth and texture to your tone, which allows you room for customizability. You can make it sound like you’re playing in a concert hall, auditorium, or any other venue by tweaking the reverb properly. The one area where I found the Donner DEP-10 superior is in portability. If you’re a piano student, you’ll probably have to be bringing your piano to lessons and jams with friends. And in this case, it’s best to have a lightweight piano that you can easily carry around with you.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

These are two entry-level pianos primarily designed for beginners looking for their first instrument. With that comes a lot of similarities, and in all honesty, both of these pianos do the job very well and would make a great choice for any pianist. However, the Donner DEP-20 completely blows the competition out of the park with more than 200 voices! Now, to be realistic, you won’t be using all of these voices, because some of them are very similar or not that good to begin with. With that said, this still leaves you a lot of useful, varied, and top-quality voices that fit many different styles of music. Although you might think the DEP-20 is the perfect first keyboard for you, it’s important to remember that even with a limited budget, there are still plenty of options. Here are a few that I like. Donner DEP-20 vs Yamaha P-45 Dep 20 is a full weight digital piano, and the timbre / rhythm is 238/200; Dep 10 is a semi weighted digital piano with a voice / rhythm of 8/128.

FULL-WEIGHTED 88 Key DOUBLE KEYBOARD】Standard full-size 88 scaled hammer action weighted keyboard. Keys are made of high quality frosted materials, with different levels of touch sensitivity, automatically adjust with your finger strength. This 88 key weighted keyboard provides dual-tone mode for combining two voices together, like piano and drum, inspiring to make a new creation. At first glance, it may seem like the Donner DEP-20 has a better tone than the Yamaha P-45 because of all the different voices it has. On top of that, both of these pianos use the same tone generation method. However, after testing out the different voices on the DEP-20, I found that they weren’t as high-quality as the ones on the Yamaha. When buying a beginner’s piano, quality is definitely better than quantity, which is why these two pianos are tied in terms of tone.

Customer reviews

It’s not overloaded with features by any means, but the DEP-20 still offers more than most competitors. Demo songs/rhythms The main reason the Donner DEP-20 beat out the DEP-10 in terms of tone is the sound library. The Donner DEP-10 only comes with 10 built-in voices. Now, this is still a fair amount for a beginner’s piano, and it covers just about all your tone needs when starting out with lessons. However, it doesn’t give you that much versatility, which means you might need to end up upgrading as you get better at the instrument. Unfortunately there’s no Bluetooth connection capability, but anyway, it’s not really a function that you can find in this price range. You don’t need it necessarily to be able to use the piano’s functions. The big advantage of Bluetooth is that there will be need for less cables. Conclusion
