About this deal

Cetearyl Alcohol : Emollient + Viscosity Controlling + Emulsifying + Surfactant/Cleansing + Emulsion Stabilising [non-drying alcohol] This cream is perfect for those with a damaged moisture barrier or simply just extremely sensitive skin. I’d definitely suggest using this on exfoliating days so your skin can repair itself and help to leave it smooth and refreshed. Pityrosporum Folliculitis/Malassezia folliculitis or simply known as Fungal Acne is a persistent acne-like condition that commonly responds poorly to traditional acne-treating methods. Unlike most cases of Acne where bacteria is the culprit, Fungi is the culprit of Fungal Acne (Hence the name!). There are certain classes & groups of ingredients that have been shown to promote and feed the growth of the Fungal Acne, Fungi such as fatty acids, oils, esters, polysorbates and fermented ingredients. A staple product for sensitive skin – this best selling hypoallergenic cream is formulated with 93% naturally derived ingredients that work to balance, repair, hydrate and soothe the skin. Featured star ingredients include Panthenol, Madecassoside, Green Tea Extract and Sunflower Seed Oil that repairs skin damage, nourishes the skin from deep within, soothes redness/irritation and keeps the skin soft and smooth all day. Parabens are a large group of preservatives which are used to prevent bacteria growing in cosmetic formulations. Important* - Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream 60mL is actually the NAME of the product. It is not to signify that you get two of this product as a set per the price listed.Madecassoside: Derivative of Centella Asiatica Extract: Wound healing + hypertrophic scar healing properties + promotes collagen production (Acts as an Antioxidant). - ‘‘ Madecassoside can also help in burn wound healing through increasing antioxidant activity and enhancing collagen synthesis.’’ I haven’t personally seen much of a difference, but that is expected as there aren’t any ingredients that specifically work to brighten or exfoliate the skin. They mostly have very good moisturizing properties and work a bit as anti-aging agents since moisturized skin is happy skin (dryness contributes to the aging process). My point here is that if your skin is doing relatively okay, the Etude House Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream moisturizer won’t do much other than.. well.. moisturize. If a majority of moisturizers leave your skin irritated, it’s worth it to give the Etude House SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream a try as it’s made with you in mind. The only negative I find with this cream is that it’s super lightweight, so if you have really dry skin, it may not be as hydrating as you need for the winter, and you’ll have to layer another cream over it.

There has been some healthy controversy surrounding them due to a few studies finding paraben presence in breast tumours and breast tissue. However, the majority of the scientific community have deemed these findings non-conclusive due to the limitations of these studies.

It’s suited for irritated skin, sensitive skin, or ‘weak/fragile skin’, but I find even for normal skin/dry skin this is perfect! I mostly use this as a basic, regular moisturizer, and then for days that my skin is feeling more irritated or slightly sunburnt, I like to use the Dear, Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream (review here). Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream ingredients These include: Amodimethicone, Behenoxy Dimethicone, Bis-Aminopropyl Dimethicone, Cetearyl Methicone, Cetyl Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Dimethicone Copolyol, Dimethiconol, Methicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, Stearoxy Dimethicone, Stearyl Dimethicone, Trimethylsilylamodimethicone. PROVEN TEST RESULTS! HYPOALLERGENICITY TEST, DERMATOLOGICAL TEST, SENSITIVE SKIN IRRITATION TEST COMPLETED: This product did not cause hypersensitivity, tested as suitable for acne-prone skin, tested to have 0.00 skin irritation score If not, don't worry about it - they do have had one of the longest safety records as preservatives!

However some sulfates are so good at their job, they can wash off your skin’s own natural oils that keep it moisturised and protected which can lead to dryness and irritation.

If you are concerned about the health safety of parabens, then feel free to avoid them by looking out for the Paraben-Free icon. Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (Sunflower): Emollient (Softens and soothes and acts as a moisturizer) + Hydration (Fatty Acids) + Anti-inflammatory ( Linoleic acid) Delivery timescales are estimated and could be affected if your parcel is very heavy or delayed by Customs entry procedures. Star Ingredients - Panthenol (form of Vitamin B5 that moisturises, anti-inflammatory, repairs), Green Tea Leaf Extract (antimicrobial, antioxidant, hydrating, anti-inflammation), Sunflower Seed Oil (rich in antioxidants, soothing, unclogs pores, evens skin tone) I also prefer products with fewer ingredients, as logic would follow that the more ingredients a product has, the higher the chances of you reacting badly to one of these ingredients. I’m not saying that this cream is bad, chances are you will like this even if you have mildly sensitive skin, but again, chances are you’re better off trying something like the Balancing Gel by Pyunkang Yul, which constitutes 90% Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract (Photoprotective, Anti-aging, and Wound Healing).

SENSITIVE SKIN CARE SOLUTION: ETUDE SoonJung Line is rooted in 30 years of sensitive skin research. It contains “Panthensoside”: Panthenol strengthens skin barrier and maintains moisture in the skin, Madecassoside calms down irritated skin and helps protect skin If you have oily skin, I would suggest trying the Tatcha Water Cream that’s water-based and more lightweight ( review here). Is Soon Jung barrier cream good? At SkinCarisma, we've done our best to identify as many ingredients as possible but note the fungal-free label may not be 100% accurate due to the complexconditions and combination of ingredients that malezzeria can thrive on. My skin is also crazy sensitive (aren’t you jealous of me?), so not only do I dislike that residue but if the the moisturizer doesn’t agree with my skin, I end up stinging, red and all around irritated. That’s why when I heard about the Etude House SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream, I had to try it since it claims to be good for all skin types, but especially dry, sensitive skin.
