When users get in their car, they start the engine and the kit immediately connects to their mobile phone. Thanks to the voice recognition feature, drivers say a name and the kit automatically dials the number. After re-start, go into Settings / Bluetooth and search for the handsfree kit (MKi9000 / MKi9100 / MKi9200) and then pair again. Pass code is 0000. For some reason it won’t give power to my iPhone via an iPhone USB cable plugged into the Parrot USB cable. This has worked on the V 3 box fine and I would get music playing via usb cable etc. (better sound). To access your phonebook and make a call, simply press the green button to start the user-independent voice recognition: the MKi recognize your voice and the name you are saying without any prior teaching process. You can also directly access the phonebook and browse all the names thanks to the voice synthesis (Text To Speech). So simple!

This may be related also…. previously when audio was playing via bluetooth or the Lightening to USB connection my audio system would switch to an AUX in, simply passing through the audio to the head-unit. Now, when playing audio via bluetooth the head unit stays on “Phone” as input. On the MKi9200 go into Settings / Advanced / Restore Factory Settings and confirm the reset with the Green key on the remote. The MKi9200 will erase memory and re-boot. After re-boot set the required language by pressing the centre button on the Parrot remote. The unit will then re-start once more. Update Procedure Different software versions of Parrot MKi9200’s may operate slightly differently. If you have a Version 2 control box you can update this to the latest version for that version – V2.20The really early versions of MKi9200 firmware were quite buggy and the boot up time was very long.
