I think the packaging designers at Barcardi got the bottle design and presentation just right, it’s one of the best-looking bottles out there, IMHO. Inspired by Don Facundo’s original recipe, this rum is delicately aged for four years in ex-bourbon casks. this frozen daiquirí, so well beaten as it is, looks like the sea where the wave falls away from the bow of a ship when she is doing thirty knots.

Usually I never get to a lot of my samples and they ended up accumulating and was looking for disappointment as well. Nor is it surprising—a massive international company (the largest privately held, American-owned spirits company, actually) known for its unaged, inoffensive flagship white rum isn’t the kind of entity that sparks crazy enthusiasm in a community full of devotees for funky, high-ester Jamaican rums or crazy flavorful, earthy rhum agricoles. The proportions may not be exactly as per the original Hemingway Daiquiri, but I have come across many different “original” Hemingway Daiquiri recipe suggestions, and I do not know which the true original is. Our primary audience is from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Europe, although we have readers from as far away as Mauritius!But hey thats just me, I’ve never liked Bacardi and figured this would be different and it was but not in a really positive way.
