About this deal

There’s quite a lot happening in this book, and I won’t lie, there were a couple of times I had to stop and re-read. I think the only complaint I have character-wise is that there’s not enough time spent really getting to know and develop the secondary characters further, Jaxon included.

I wish I could’ve gotten a little more detail about Lia’s death, her background and what exactly was the relationship between her and Hudson. Crush features all those we came to know and love in Crave, including (of COURSE) Jaxon, Macy, and Flint. Despite the size, I definitely felt like I was moving through the book very quickly, even if it took me a few days to finish. I watch over Hudson’s shoulder as wood and glass and stone and metal come tumbling down, the arena literally tearing itself apart piece by piece. While I greatly enjoyed my reading experience for Crave, it took me a bit longer to fully get into Crush. The last third of Crush is full of action and takes us out of Grace's overstuffed head and relationship woes just enough with some dramatic twists and turns. At a whopping 700 or so pages, you absolutely know that Crush is going to be so much more dramatic than Crave. I was definitely pulled in from the beginning, and it honestly felt like it picked up right where it left off. Tracy Wolff is a New York Times best-selling author who have already written over sixty novels that range from young adult action adventures, to new adult romance novels.

A note about CHARM: The missing four months of time between Crave and Crush, can be enjoyed anytime after reading Crave. The sexual content is milder -- kissing is less fun when your brother is always watching -- while violence is about at the same level as Book 1. It’s really fun to tag along with Grace as she explores her new identity because it’s a brand new and unpredictable journey for us too. With everything Grace has to figure out, she spends more time processing and unraveling things internally than she does really interacting with Jaxon, Macy, and Flint.

Parents need to know that Crush is the second book in a series that will remind you very much of Twilight . Tim Paige is an audiobook narrator with a passion for rom coms, superheroes, and telling stories that provide an escape from the world (or a new lens with which to view it). I got to say, this book was better in terms of pacing than the first one that felt like it was dragging on and on until the last half. According to Entangled Publishing’s Liz Pelletier, the new supernatural novel is pitched as “vampires for a new generation. Though they were secondary characters, they played quite a big roll in the story so I had wanted to see them interact with each other a little more.

Crave Series by Tracy Wolff - Goodreads

Crush, moreso than Crave, really delivers on a promise of a heroine that can save herself and the ones she loves. The poor girl seems to find more questions than she does answers, and finds herself questioning her relationship with Jaxon at times. I don’t know if I want to continue reading this book, because I just want Hudson gone and Jaxon and Grace together PERIOD! Students are stabbed, beaten, nearly strangled, drained of blood, burned, buried alive, and put through trials that include terrible pain.My hands curl into fists, my fangs explode in my mouth, and though there were a million other ways I was hoping to break my newfound knowledge to Grace, the words come out before I can even think about stopping them. Crush, the second installment in Tracy Wolff’s obsession-worthy Crave series, is finally here and… well… prepare yourself to scream internally for 500+ pages straight because *spoiler alert* you’re going to love it.

I've got a newsletter I would love if you signed up for 🙂 It's the best way to keep track of my new releases, contests, exciting news, and free reads. I wish we got to see more of Flint, I found him to be an interesting character and based on how we left him off in the first book I hadn't liked him. And once you’ve read Crush and know what I’m talking about, please tweet me so that we can yell about it together. In true Crave series fashion, Crush is full of delicious twists and turns that will leave you yearning for more, especially when it comes to the ending.

Jaxon and Grace's story continues in New York Times bestselling author Tracy Wolff's captivating sequel to Crave. Because I’d know that screech anywhere, I shoot Jaxon a rueful smile and take a couple of steps back, right before my cousin, Macy, slams straight into my side.
