It'll be here on Monday so I'll be interested to try the Original configuration with the new cable to see if the 'black screen' issue appears. I have contacted Dell Support and they have given me a replacement of P2721Q but still same issue with the Macbook Air M1.

It’s located at the back of the cabinet near the right side edge so it’s accessible without leaning in too much. No need to mention Dell alternatives, yet none of them look this chic and minimalistic, besides they’d have similar pixel density issue.

If you’d like a slightly bigger display, the BenQ EW3280U has a 32-inch display and won’t set you back by much more than the Dell P2721Q.
