Written in rhyme and with illustrations that off set the storyline perfectly this book is guaranteed to entertain and make your heart happy as you read along. The book behind the viral internet sensation of "The Scottish Granny" reading this story to her grandchild. They will giggle, they will laugh and they will want this book to be read over and over again because it is just plain silly and funny.

It's lovely that the book is quite so gender neutral and has such a wide appeal (not only for the hilarious butt jokes! The author takes a crack at what may appear to be nothing more than bathroom humor, but in the end is a cute story of a little boy who is unashamedly cheeky in his pursuit to find a new rear and is unafraid to air his tale. Luckily, when it comes to finding a new bum, the possibilities are endless – he could have a delicate watercolour-painted backside, or a shiny chrome bum-per. I would have honestly just passed this one by, but some other reviews said it wasn't that much potty humor.

The illustrations were great and really got her imagination going, she spent ages after reading it talking about all the different styles of new butts she could think up and how funny they would be. It's probably best-suited for daytime reading than for bedtime stories, as it's more likely to give kids a case of the giggles than put them into a sleeping state of mind. There are all sorts of butts, from coloured ones to flair (taking the saying to a new and literal level).And seriously, if you take an honest look back to your own childhood, can anyone say that they didn't giggle at a fart or bum joke when they were young? The preschool set will think this book is hilarious, but it might be a different story with their parents. The incident has spurred criticism from free speech advocates, who claim the termination could have a chilling effect at a time of conservative-fueled pushes for book bans in schools across the US. There are just too many details and specifications which you must be certain of when looking for one.

The story is the most important part but there are lots of reading level challenges to get right too. A definate 5 stars for this one, it was so fun to watch my niece laughing and enjoying herself and watch how it got her imagination working overtime. This beautifully designed picture book with exquisite illustrations explores a variety of shapes relating to Islamic objects and practices. They will giggle, they will laugh, and they will want this book to be read over and over again because it is just plain silly and funny … the perfect kid-combo.
